Yeah go really created on field success for us....... NOT...... the rugby league world knew she knew nothing about rugby league which was evident in the Jason Taylor and Ives signing as coach.

The finger pointing at the moment is childish and does not surprise me with some of the people on this forum.

You can see the irony here, yeah?

@Masterton no need to know about footy ... she knew how to run the business and how to engage with the fan base and cater to the corporate sector ...oh wait poor old Bazz has never had a real job or ran a business but all good ... this years engagement by the club has been appalling and no coincidence that ended when Ms Go was knifed! But I am sure there are many more excuses for that !

For those all saying "Brent Read is great, read this..." he also wrote on his social media later that day that the Tigers should be the team moved..........and added a direct comparison with the Gold Coast, of all teams.

He has an agenda against us. Fairly clear.

@ElleryHanley pretty sure he has a connection to Marina Go - her husband works with him. Doubtful he has an issue with the tigers.

Then he said the following -

Let me clarify this for all the buffoons out there. I don’t think the Wests Tigers should relocate. Nor do I think the Gold Coast should. That was my point. They are no better than each other.

Further, the Tigers have been an underachieving, soft club for nearly a decade. They need to harden up and Michael Maguire is the right man to do that. That’s it. No more, no less. I am not a fan or relocation. Personally, I think we should go to 17 teams

He was State Premier 3 years. He is current CEO of Racing Australia. He is President and Independent Chair of Diabetes Australia.

They are all real jobs.

Not an O'Farrell supporter either was personally, but it's really quite stupid to say that someone in charge of THE ENTIRE STATE never had a real job.

@Cultured_Bogan You are spot on mate, she was doing a great job.

Marina learned a lot on the job. She also was the chair during the JT fiasco and I believe her judgement during that period was clouded.
She handled Clearys defection admirably and, I was really disappointed by the board not backing her over the ambassador' s role.

Look, I'm not anti-Marina at all, but as noted she was here for 4.5 years *including* the firing of Potter, the hiring of Taylor, the firing of Taylor, the ousting of Farah, the hiring of Ivan, the defection of Ivan, the Farah salary cap penalty.

Fans are very quick to point fingers at Pascoe and now O'Farrell for either being around during these crises, or not making enough noise when crises are occurring. Marina was chair when Pascoe was hired.

I'm sure Marina did do a good job, but the club's track record during her tenure was ordinary. The club's track record during all tenures has been ordinary!

I cannot say, from the outside, how well or otherwise she truly performed and how much success was attributable to her, or issues not attributable to her.

So IMO the same arguments that people level at Pascoe, for example, can apply equally to Marina. Or, like myself, just accept that most of us don't really known what Go / Pascoe / O'Farrell can really be credited or discredited for from the outside.

Probably shared blame, but either both the board and the CEO or one of them should be accountable.

People love to rattle off how well we are travelling off the field but I can see no difference in the club since Go or Pascoe turned up.

That's true it's what you don't see..the amount of Corp $$$ attracted by Go during her tenure..and the fact we actually made an operating profit in the final year in her tenure as an example...

On the field is the responsibility of Football Operations....

Has Matterson been upgraded yet...?

Wrong topic, Geo. This is now a Pascoe/Board/Chair/former chair topic.

Massage chair?

Interestingly mark O’Neil seems to be going okay at parra.

For those who missed read also said Maguire requested players train until the GF to get use to working during this period as we have been on an indefinite leave of absence which has ruffled feathers

@tony-soprano it's funny the eels back office seems to be doing good . What does it tell you that an administrator can run a club properly. It tells me to many agendas get in the way of s club being properly run . And with this club being a merger agendas will always be an issue

Cant disagree with him, I don't think we will ever be successful if we stay in Sydney

When you got the likes of Mike "The weatherman" Bailey white anting anyone he can, you'll have issues.
We are still 2 factions when we should be one.

How does a player who thinks he deserves more money suddenly equate to problems at management level?
The reactions to this are over the top in my view. Our cap troubles have been well documented and we certainly wouldn't have factored an upgrade for Matterson with 2 years to run on his contract.
Pascoe, OFarrell and the rest if the board can't be held responsible for for seeing this, preventing this or suddenly resolving it if the player and manager are after some other solution that is not in the best interest of the club.

Some of them can be held responsible for our cap situation which makes this issue harder to resolve!
