Shame, would've preferred him over Lolohea

Nope, we made the right choice.

Once Lolohea looses a few kilos and with a tough pre-season. He will kick Watson's arse.

And Lolohea is also a Goal-Kicker, something we need in 2018

Last time I checked, Watson doesn't kick goals

Tui may be a goal kicker …. but the jury's out if he can kick goals under pressure.

He seems to be a pretty decent goalkicker. He strikes the ball well and it goes dead-straight unlike a Thurston kick. This means all he has to do is line it up, not worry up angles and curve etc.

He hasn't missed too many kicks whilst at the Tigers, it is just disappointing that he missed one that some may say 'cost us the game'.

Not everyone can kick at 100%, even Thurston missed the goal with a premiership on the line.

I think Tui is a great goalkicker and over time with the likes of Cleary and Hodgson, he will become one of the best kickers in the comp

I agree with that, he is a natural goal kicker with potential, he just needs to harness it. The weekend is the perfect example because he should have kicked that goal knowing what was on the line, I think he cracks a little under pressure which is something Hodgson and Cleary will have to work on throughout the offseason.

Should have mentioned in the above post that the kick wasnt from the sideline which is why he should've threaded it.

I was at the old Sydney Sports Ground in 1970 and saw Len Killeen miss a goal from directly in front, 10m out.

Watson getting cold feet

There are rumours around town that a Knights signing wants out - and I’m hearing the man with cold feet is boom Rooster Connor Watson.
Watson has agreed to terms with the Knights - but word is he hasn’t actually put pen to paper and has received a more attractive offer from a rival club.
He hasn’t gone cold on the Knights just yet - but I’m keeping an eye out on the situation.

Lolohea is currently not a good goal kicker. I was talking to a guy who has worked with kickers around the world in Union and his opinion is that he's terrible. He agrees with me that his aproach is ridiculously complicated and until he simplifies it he has no chance of being consistent. I cant believe someone hasn't stepped in and told him what a fool he is for that approach. Its so complicated its near impossible to not make a mistake to his rythm almost half the time he kicks, hence why he's a 60% kicker.

Haven't the Maloney to the Knights rumour gained traction (at least in our area) 3 years 900K?

I loved Rod Wishart's goal kicks

I think missing out on him was a blessing in disguise for us, i think he's a decent player just not what we need.

Mole just tweeted that his mail on Connor Watson getting cold feet at the knights was wrong .

Except he's not a 60% kicker

Yossarian gets it right.
Lolohea's record at the moment is 73% not 60%. But that's not the killer point here.
38 / 52 73.08%

He is getting better.

My mate told me about a Nigerian female runner who ran like a child, arms flopping everywhere, no style, no structure…. She came Second in the Olympics. Second in the world.... Would you rather coach this person or the person who has good structure but isn't running as fast?

Lolohea's style, his technique can only get better with practise. By picking up someone who is overweight, out of form and still playing decent first grade footy, we can get ahead of the game.

I wonder what your mate would say about Jamie Soward's approach

HAHAHAHA

Happy Gilmore and Tiger Woods had the same distance off the tee.. Yet the tee shot so different right ?

I cant believe people are fussed about unorthodox approaches.

Steve Smith used to get picked on a lot too..

Success comes in different forms

El Masari might have still kicked as well with an approach like Lolos

And to add another point, time and time again we put the sword through our own players.

Everyone on this forum has a right to their opinion but it sometimes worries me how negative we become with minute issues

I’m glad we didn’t pay overs for Watson and I don’t want Moylan. Seems like a massive spoilt flog. Hayne like. I believe our team will achieve great things next year. But please sack Lawrence. I hate him. He is shit
