Cooper Cronk Released From Storm

That leaves the Wts, Dogs and Eels as the main options for both Cronk and Foran. Think you can rule out Eels as a Foran destination so that makes it interesting.

Why Parra?
They have two steady halves in Gutherson & Norman.
Parramatta already stated that they wouldn't trade Norman for anyone.
That leaves Gutherson and he is their goal-kicker. Last time I checked Cronk doesn't goal-kick.

Pay him for an assistant coaching role as well.
Player/Captain/assistant coach.
Sack those other dud assistants and pay him.

Is that legal?

Where did i say that? Im talking about culture Ink.

Not week to week results.

Where trying to turn a whole club around here.

I would throw the kitchen sink at him for what he could bring to the club in a variety of areas.

For me he is the mot impressive individual in the game.

But thats just my opinion.

Yeah need help with culture & attitude no doubt but what I'm saying is wed breed more players like him to help with this.
Cleary hopefully would be a start
Cronk would add to it… But they'd need help...

My point is if you got Cronk suddenly the place is 10 times more attractive.

And your soldiers games would be elevated by his presence.

I think Cronks best football might be a bit behind him, but its not my point.

We have had a culture of rewarding potential and mediocrity for years.

CronK has been one of the most winningest players in the game.

I would happily lose 2 of the big 4 to bring him in and try and change the culture.

Players of Cronks credentials do not go on the open market ..I would imagine he pretty much knows where he will be next season especially in Sydney .

Don't be so sure.
If you watched the press conference you could visibly see Bellemy and Cronk fighting back emotion.
This wouldn't happen if it wasn't sudden.
I think it's orchestrated in a way you'll see some crazy numbers getting thrown around next few days.
A bidding war will be on.

He would be honestly the best player we have had for an extremely long time. Personally id let the big 4 go for him hey. Build around his professionalism and winning know how

Eddie I know what you mean, but if we sign say Teddy,Cronk and maybe Woods and Moses its going to leave bugger all to fix the centre, wing, backrow, bench front row ..you name it. We need multiple players not just a couple of super stars. Its all about balance.

My point is coach CronK is a player that can elevate players around him.

Look at some of the Storms centres over the years. They mad Ryan Hinchcliffe look like a gun in the back row.

Don't tell me Chase Blair, Ryan Morgan and the likes are better then what we have had.

I know our roster needs addressing, however our whole culture needs addressing. You take some of our players out of our cult and suddenly they are world beaters (JAC, Koro, Teo, Fifita, even Sirro is going pretty well) Were soft and have been for years. If you get an experienced number 7and captain it makes a world of difference to the joint. Your soldiers suddenly look a lot better. And you can attract good toilers who want to play with him. Players train harder. Standards lift everywhere.

Think what Cronk could bring to the joint outside of the 80 minutes o game day.

This club has never had that sort of winner.

I would throw everything at him, but thats just me i respect other opinions.

I'm with you. Cleary might be on it. He knows the value in culture.

What makes you think it was Cronk who elavated the players around him and not Bellamy?

Ditch Moses. Wants 800k.
Cronk can mentor Brooks into a cronk mould.
Tell Brooks to take a little less and learn from the best.

X2\. Throw everything at him. Offering an assistant or halves coaching role when he finishes. He will bring the storm mentality and it will rub off on everyone. Couldnt think of a better to come and help cleary clean up this joint.

Oh its definitely Bellamy more so then Cronk. No doubting that.

However Cronk has been in that culture for over a decade.

You don't think he is the eyes and ears of Bellamy on the paddock?!

Who won the Origin battles Cronk or Bellamy?

And Cronk is probably the best football mind in the game.

A smart club will offer him a playing and coaching deal -

I think he's eyeing media post footy… Already on FOX now p/t.
Wouldn't be against it tho

He is a natural in the media.

However nothing stopping him being a Matty Johns - consultant - halves coach - part time.

He will do both. Very driven.

I wouldn't rule the Tigers out of this. I could quite easily see Cronk in a Tigers jersey and Brooks heading off to the Storm. The key factor is though, hypothetically if we were to sign Cronk, we still need to strengthen the forward pack or else he is also going to look ordinary. we need 1 more front rower alongside Woods and a stronger backrow.

Whoever gets Cronk gets Bellamys playbook.

I think you could attract some decent soldiers on average money if you had Cronk in the 7.

Suddenly you don't have to pay over the odds for blokes.

At the minute we have to pay over for anyone we are such a poorly regarded club.

My argument is if you had Cronk (and lost Moses and brooks) it would be easier to attract forwards.

Ideally you don't want to lose both halves but if you want a decent pack ?!

Look other big leagues - players are attracted to go and play with superstars. They might take under if they think they can win a title.

We are also 750k better off next year when we aren't paying Robbie Farah. It can happen and still strengthen other areas.

We would be mad to not make a play…I agree with you Eddie...

However just watching his press conference it wouldn't surprise me if he simply hung up the boots and go straight into the Media... especially if the Storm go all the way this year...

Balls in his court and wouldn't be in any rush...
