Maybe free NRL memberships to stream? I'd hate the think the club has money pulled out of their coffers because of something unforeseen.

Surprise Another Lucker

Meant to say, “another lurker”... how would giving the free streams for their online platform help to reimburse clubs or even get the players (potentially in near future) their guaranteed earnings from TV rights broadcasts’ if they’re selfishly monopolising the monies in the wake of an apparently pandemic virus.

What if Fox has to actually shut down the workplace? No more televising.

How will KAYO or the game itself stay afloat?

Could be a very bad look for them to shirk responsibility like that, at this time. More of a 1 in, all in approach is suitable here and I think that means more than covering THEIR asses

It was just a suggestion. No need to go to town on me. Just ways for the NRL to recompense fans is all.

Sorry mate. You’re right I was perhaps a little careless with my words when passing my opinion, today has had some information passed to me that leads me to believe there is far, far more yet to play out regarding Corona.

As a you g man you’d think I wouldn’t be so worried but unfortunately that’s just the weight of the world at the moment. Have a nice night!

All good mate. No hard feelings. I'm in a high risk group but I choose to see it as I'm in borrowed time anyway and we aren't guaranteed safety so may as well have fun as long as I'm not careless.

Pretty good attitude to have mate. There is no need to be silly about this, follow the advice that is given and enjoy life. I have seen my 6 year old's anxiety level increase over this and I'd much prefer to stay calm and enjoy my life and have her do the same!

I've always had to adopt that attitude. But it really is right. Keep your extremities clean and everything else will be OK. I am saddened that kids think they will die over this. The Victor Chang CRI have stated that kids with or without heart impairment have much better survival rates than adults.

What a joke some people are. They call for leadership, get it, then harp on about how it doesn't suit them.

Why next Monday ?
Why not now ?

Because they are saying this is a precaution, if it is a precaution it can be held off till Monday!

Then why call off the F1’s ?
Why not wait until Monday ?

Mate he is my idol. Made heart research a priority in Australia and made mates in the right places to make it happen. Knew how to sell his image for good outcomes. Unfortunately it was also his downfall when two dumb blokes with gambling debts tried to carjack him. I still say that they should have been gaoled for life not only for Chang's death, but deaths of everyone that was waiting on him at the time.

I have to call this out. Not at you @cochise but for the simple comparison of the anxiety your 6 year old suffers from this. I don't think it's any different to 6 year olds suffering climate anxiety, Fear put into them far before their time for really, things they shouldn't be afraid of.......what a society we live in these days.

Yeah, the hard thing is we have had sensible and truthful conversations about it. Then she goes to school and gets misinformation from kids who are obviously getting poor information from their parents.

I think it’s going to be fascinating watching games in empty stadiums. Will be able to hear all sorts of things that crowds usually drown out.

I've been watching the Champions League matches that have been played behind closed doors, it's weird. It looks and sounds like a training run, you can hear all the player calls and grunts; and when they score, they all just go "yeah" and there's nothing else. You have to constantly remind yourself that it's top-flight professional football.

It should be the future of those 6 year olds that drives adults to act on climate change, but us adults are disgracefully and selfishly failing our children. As a dad I hate to say it, but the world facing today's 6 year olds when they're 30 is going to be buggered.

For just one example - Himalayan glaciers are receding at a rapid (accelerating) rate. A billion odd people in India, Pakistan, and western China depend on these glaciers for water. When they're gone in a few decades what the hell is going to happen? Can Christmas Island fit a billion people?

A day. Lot of misinformation surrounding the tests themselves ATM, very effective in determining if the virus IS present... lot of tests now returning positive that were initially -atives.

So the issue is in definitively saying that Xerri doesn’t/hasn’t been exposed to it. Obviously a risk that they couldn’t ever take in this corporate climate. Could take up to three weeks...

Most likely be games cancelled unfortunately

To 6 year olds, climate change is being marketed as an end to all humanity. I don't deny the change, i see it with my eyes every day as an emergency services worker, i just don't think its a problem 6 year olds should be worrying about. ( i have a 6 year old too)

Like i said, i don't deny the change, but i will until the day i die, defend a 6 year olds right to innocence from the worlds problems, whether it be a virus, climate or anything else.

Isn’t it like 0.2% glocally for anyone under 30 to die . 2-5% for under 50 , and like 20% over 65 ?

I have to call this out. Not at you @cochise but for the simple comparison of the anxiety your 6 year old suffers from this. I don't think it's any different to 6 year olds suffering climate anxiety, Fear put into them far before their time for really, things they shouldn't be afraid of.......what a society we live in these days.

I know you are talking about kids in general but I was talking about my personal experience and I can tell you that my daughter has no fear of her world ending from climate change in the next few weeks. This on the other hand is very real to her.

It's actually interesting the views kids get about subjects from each other, we have had some very real and interesting discussion about eating meat because she has a friend who is from a vegan family and she has been told she shouldn't eat meat.
