I am not far from the crossroads hotel, once it reopens expect the crowd to return.

They are having a grand reopening special, a case of 24 Corona's for only $30.

Time for more punitive action for defaulters who won't do the right thing, both individuals and businesses.

A quick buck or laugh at the expense of more responsible members if society.

Responsible? I would think vulnerable would be more appropriate.

Of course. But those who abide by the law suffer because of these indiviuals or businesses. The smug reply I heard from the Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club last night reaffirms the need for punishments of severity.

People are dicks mate. This wave of Australian ported "muh freedumb of movement" (note, this applies to people who are going to protests, the beach, crowded pubs etc,) will ensure these rolling lockdowns will stay until a vaccine is developed.

Give people an inch, they take a mile.

Really annoys me how the casino is always exempt from everything. They're exempt from the new covid restrictions facing all other pubs and clubs, despite having a confirmed case.

Just like they were earlier exempt from the lockout laws, just like they were exempt from the smoking laws, etc etc

I was just reading an article from the new daily which was talking about how in the USA some idiots are hosting Covid-19 parties with infected people invited. You would assume in a sane country this would be an urban myth but apparently it is actually happening according to reports there.
If it is accurate then i cant think or a more dangerous and reprehensible thing to do.

Nobody who has been to Liverpool or Campbelltown in the previous 14 days will be allowed into Queensland from midday today (14/7)

How do you prove you haven't been to either of those locations?

Those infected Vics were at Kurnell and Caringbah even though their Premier requested they not travel.

According to an ABC report, the Victorian Government knew about the inadequate hotel quarantine activities as early as March 28, and did nothing but call for an inquiry.

And you only have an inquiry if you already know the outcome.

I wonder if Queensland designating Campbelltown a hotspot will have any implications for Campbelltown Oval being used as a ground?

18 Queenslanders who visited the pub now being tested. Is Qld now declared a hotspot?

I haven't seen the ABC report but the SMH ran that as a headline above a story that said some public servants identified it as a potential problem and emailed some other public servants.

Ultimately someone will probably need to accept ministerial responsibility for this stuff up, but that's a different thing to knowing in advance, and emails between public service departments do not constitute "government knowing".

The media's political reporting is about as accurate and ethical as its rugby league reporting.
