I was told today that there is a meeting in regard to one of the directors at the club I work at...his wife has tested positive to covid and they have to isolate, trouble is he was at a presentation at the club last night...
I was also told,as many who know me,I live in the Southern Highlands of NSW,that the swimming pool is closed as of today as well as the council chambers, the primary school,Aldi store and High school will be closed as of Monday...all at Moss Vale...
dire days ahead unfortunately and just as we thought we were on top of the situation...

Was he at the club after being told to isolate?

No mate he didnt know until the next day...he is now isolating.

Then just keep an eye on your symptoms mate, anything out of the ordinary get a test to be safe, you wouldn't even be considered a casual contact atm. I have faith in how NSW has handled flare ups so far. As I said earlier if he tests positive or his wife has attended the club everyone at the club during the time the infected person was there will be deemed a casual contact and told to monitor symptoms. If one of those people test positive then everyone who was there at the same time will be considered a close contact and told to isolate and get tested.

Look after yourself mate!

Time to praise the efforts of our NSW Public Servants fining over 30 businesses in the.South West for failure to have Covid plans in place, lax attention to social distancing and lack of hygene. Another Covid case at Moss Vale today. I have to say I am becoming increasingly frustrated cases keep arising in the South West. Perhaps more drastic measures are required in that area to rid it of the virus.

I should add 85 establishments were visited, 39 failed outright and many other breaches were detected. This is a disgrace and if revisited and further failures occur, they should be shut. It's time for tough measures.

My immediate concern as well, as he was an obvious close contact to someone awaiting testing results at best. A person that is a director of anything should know much better.

Are you a teacher FG?

No.

And on that, the US is now beginning on a very steep case climb, following and similar to that of most of Europe. They also passed a couple of milestones in 10 million cases nationwide and Texas became their first state to pass the 1 million mark.

USA! USA! USA!

Just goes to show you what abysmal leadership in any country can lead to. The worst part about it is the fact that unless a vaccine is developed very quickly it will only deteriorate until at least early March.

Yes, even with Ruby Princess and Victoria, our state leaderships have all been extremely vigilant in getting it under control.

Something poetic about an administration that saw the deaths of 230 off thousand people as acceptable collateral for the cause of neoliberalism hosting a presser between a dildo shop and crematorium.

BBC website have stated that Pfizer have developed a vaccine with a 90% success rate in protection from covid. 43500 test cases over 6 countries with no health concerns found. There is light on the eastern horizon lets all hope it is not a false dawn

Really now comes down to if they have got to early enough that the Vaccine can work on all strains and how long the immunity from the vaccine will last.

True but coming into a northern winter at least it will bring hope where it is needed most

Sounds very promising, but too late for the northern winter for mine. Might help the US in keeping some health workers on the job and get to a few of the vulnerable as it hits it's depth which would be good, though expect it will be pilfered with the almighty dollar at work.

From what I have read this is not a virus that mutates quickly. So hopefully any vaccine that is developed will have efficacy for some time to come.

The almighty dollar development the vaccine pal! Honestly words fail sometimes !

I have just read a very interesting fact about the vaccine that has been developed in that it needs to be stored at -80C to be effective(BBC website).Undoubtedly this will complicate matters as i cant imagine too many places having the facilities for that.Hope i am wrong
