Went to buy dunny paper out and Coles had none! I'm out. Guess i'll use tissue paper. People are nuts!!

Order online to avoid the panic

Even ordering online is not fun. At Woolies in my region, they are out of stock of a lot of items, including toilet paper, plus there's the added bonus of they make you pay for the items, they take your money, then refund you up to 5 business days later.

Try your local servo

I tried woolworths and Coles with no luck

Got petrol and noticed their shelves were full

A security guard at my local shopping centre apparently saw a man and a woman walk out of toilets at the center with plastic bags of toilet paper

Absolutely disgustingly desparate beyond belief

Australia has gone mad

gym I go to gets their paper from a business called Who gives A Crap....100% recycled and puts money towards improving sanitation in impoverished countries......

Personally paper is paper, but if you're looking for some and want to feel slightly more "aware".....give them a go....great business name too......

They're sold out too!

It is possible to just wipe with your bare hand and then wash it. Might be a good reminder to wash your hands regularly anyway

Heard a scientist on the radio today saying each of us will be attending at least one funeral of someone we know in the next 18 months ..deceased by this virus .

A lot of misinformation out there. Makre sur eyou get your information from sources that are not promoting or selling a product i.e. News Corp. Pretty much all of Aussie TV/Media.

Actually it was on the ABC !

Been saying it since day one. Incredibly overhyped by media and others - if I didn’t know better I would think their are ulterior motives at play here. Statistical likelihood of dying from CV vs Influenza is ridiculously low. But hey let’s not let facts get in the way of hysteriCal hand wringing and nonsense

Google tabo... Little bucket of water

People going nuts over bottled water will be next. Word will spread that thousands of people flushing baby wipes will cause running water to stop. Give it a week or two.

especially in some cases where baby wipes are cheaper than a box of tissues.....

BTW this isn't just crack-pots, preppers and doom's-dayers, this has become a "run". Some folks are only rushing on toilet paper because they are seeing others rush on toilet paper, and for no other reason. Like a run on the bank.

That’s the most pathetic part. Scary how mindless the masses are. No one thinks for themselves anymore, no one does research that would be all but a simple google search. That’s why there’s so much misinformation out there, especially on social media. People are too dumb to fact check.

But once a run is underway, it's far from mindless to join in. It's probably the logical course of action. If there's a run on a bank (for example), someone sitting at home criticising the herd for being irrational would be better off trying to get some of their money while they still can. Even if the run is based entirely on fake news.

Money is one thing. But I’m not going out and stacking vans full of toilet paper and pulling knives on others to get it. Literally what people are doing. These are the kinds of people the virus needs to wipe out.

I'm really disappointed with the wording of your last sentence @GNR4LIFE.
The guy did the wrong thing of course and needed to be taken down by the Police, as he was.
Do you think there may be at least a slight chance he may have a mental problem.
So rather than wiping him out, it seems to me he probably needs mental health care.
Your "these are the kinds of people the [corona] virus needs to wipe out" sounds like the 2nd coming of Hitler wanting to exterminate the Jews.

Spread this far and wide rather than the sensationalist claptrap most media outlets pedal.....

I still remember seeing a woman in 2011 during the floods when everyone was limited to a maximum of 3 litres of milk per person

She grabbed her 2nd 3 litre she was wanting to buy and smashed it on the ground saying "if I can't have it , no one can "

Dazza the chance of dying from your typical flu is about .01% ....coronavirus is around 6%
