Although I had a chuckle, I'm not sure this is helpful mate.

He's doubled the Centrelink payment which will be around $500-$600/week for anyone that goes on it. Lot's of money has been thrown at people in different ways.

We are an island in the middle of the ocean

If he had shut the borders when news of coronavirus broke it wouldn't be here

We would be operating as normal

Obviously some industries like travel would be hard hit but not the whole nation

No cases of the virus and pubs clubs restaurants etc would be operating as normal

We gambled on controlling it and failed big time

You just have to be careful how you word things in the posts,I read it as you and others are the hard workers and others like me who are down on their luck but are very hard workers are getting handouts...I didn't see anything mentioned about welfare cheats,mate Im not a mind reader...I see the welfare recipients are getting money and I haven't been on welfare..I just need to survive..people are going to get sensitive in regards to their future..its coming...we are all in this together..

I have replied to his post Hobbo and have clarified to him...not 05 in particular he has explained what he meant...but others have to be a little more sensitive because we don't all know who is going through what at the moment...
I assure you that if you are well off as is 05 through hard work Iam the first to congratulate and respect you guys...some of us have been dealt some awful cards and are trying our best....

You should be angry at China for feeding us lies that this was only a little cold. They mugged off the whole world.

Once we had our own data in late Feb (after they finally allowed the WHO into China), we shut things down immediately at a huge financial cost to many people.

We were one of the first in the world to stop travel from China and then to announce a total travel ban - ultimately the borders needed to remain open for a period to allow people to leave and come home. It's unavoidable.

If you have facts to the contrary, point me to the source. Not interested in opinions.
