The breach in WA resulted in an infection of a WA Health worker with the UK strain. This mtg tomorrow of the PM and. Premiers hopefully will result in all UK, US and SA oseas travellers quarantining outside major cities.

Brisbane locked down for 3 days because of 1 case of the new mutant super Coronavirus. Time to shut the borders.

I see Annastacia Moneyszczuk has brought out the sledgehammer again. Obviously no scalpels are available in Queensland, only the sledgehammer in the toolbox.

Yeah my B-I-L got rushed to the Wesley Hospital with more back issues yesterday

He won't be seeing my sister or my niece until Monday now

Next cricket test should be played again in Sydney.

Yes ....I love watching highlights from previous Tests because half the game is washed out

And that's cruelty making @tigersteve having to spend another full day with @cochise

Sure that is breaching the League of Nations or something of the like

The Hospitals knew yesterday ...my sister had spent the day with the BIL and she was leaving around 8 but she could see they were getting ready to go into lockdown or something major .....she raced to where my niece was and brought her back to the hospital with the help of the head sister .....

I actually told @Tiger_Steve yesterday that since he has gotten to know me, watched and talked football with me that he has become so much more knowledgeable about Rugby League and that now he is watching cricket with me the same will happen for cricket. So I think he will be desperate for more time at the cricket with me.

But didn't you say that Glenn Trimble would be the next Keith Miller and Wayne Philips was a better batsmen keeper than Gilchrist

I expect such a decision to be almost universally welcomed around the nation, as such strains must be removed quickly.

I would never say anyone was better than Keith Miller, he was before my time but Dad always talks about him and what a great cricketer he was. I have never heard my dad talk about any other sportsman the way he talks about Miller. My Dad is the only person who's opinions on League and cricket that I put before mine.

Sorry for the off topic post lol

Unfortunately, as the number of infected return travellers increases, breaches will also increase. Even though this strain it is more contagious I’m not convinced that the sledgehammer approach will be effective at removing it in the long term. It is more likely perimeter wall breaches will occur and at an increasing rate so other methods need to be developed. Maybe it’s time to restrict flights from the UK even further and to have quarantine out of the major cities.

My view on quarantine remains that it should have been centrally run by the federal government who's responsibility it has always been from day dot.

Agree. Again though, we are Girt by Sea and having quarantine in major cities is just asking for the inevitable to happen.
