It’s evolving Earl. The next strain after Omicron, will be just as contagious but more virulent. This will not end.

I don't think so. We have populations with close to 90% anti-bodies across the world (vaxxed or they have contracted the virus). We have a virus that appears to be mutating to being less virulent albeit more transmissible. I reckon this is definitely over within 5 years in that it will not be any more of an issue than other respiratory diseases like the flu.

I'm pretty positive about the whole situation now. The picture will become a lot clearer over the next say 6 weeks.

This is anecdotal evidence but it's from a doctor in South Africa who has some experience with this variant.

We need to be careful in getting too positive about this variant but there is some more good news. It appears the unvaccinated are the ones who are getting sick (and probably less sick than Delta) which means that maybe the vaccines are holding up with some degree of protection and hopefully the unvaccinated don't get as sick.

I think it's going to run rampant across the world but hopefully with a significantly lower mortality rate.
