Cronulla Game Round 26

Given what has happened with Cronulla with a number of players stood down for the remainder of the year, I think the club should just throw the gates open and let people in for free or a nominal amount.

My thoughts on this are :

1\. Cronulla will be be fielding a sub standard team.
2\. No Interest whatsoever in this game = no one attending.
3\. To get some atmosphere you have to make it attractive for people to attend.
4\. Give something back to long suffering supporters over the past 6 weeks - try and gain some respect back.

I know the club needs money but in light of this they should also do something for the supporters.

Thoughts ?

Can not do that for the following reasons:

● We will lose money
● It will give the media too much negative to talk about (Tigers give up on themselves)
● What will people who want to to watch the game live do? What if you go and there is no more space to enter…do you go home & miss the game?
● NRL Won't allow it

We could do a "Buy a family ticket & get one adult ticket free"

And how will members be compensated?

Yeah this is it , great idea but won't happen.
Maybe give Member's a $40 voucher to spend at the Tiger's shop? a way for member's to be compensated i guess

Mate we will lose money either way. This game has about as much interest as watching nannies knit.

I just hope they think about making it attractive for people to attend whatever that maybe, otherwise this will be the smallest crowd in years imo.

We'll be lucky to get 10k through even with the gates wide open.

I'm predicting the smallest crowd this year for this game.

Your first point…you got one out of four right at least

Well we have the heritage round, this could be the injuries round. Give each team giant economy boxes of band aids. They chase each other around sticking their opponents with band aids and at the end the team that has stuck the most to their opponents wins. All proceeds to be donated to the local emergency ward.

I'm looking forward to the game. We might win!

would be every nice to finish the season with a win. 😛ray:
and we all know what the score will be….

it will be Chris Heighno last game for the sharks. I do believe he is retiring.

Maybe they should organize a free schooner every time a player from either team misses a tackle

Some fans could actually be face down paralytic by the 20 minute mark

You probably couldn't drink them fast enough ,could you ??

Seeing it's the last game of the season maybe they could put on a nudie run at the end of the match.

Only if it's the cheerleaders !! :roll :roll :roll

Excuse me? Not all people bat for the same side as you. I am happy with the original post…lol
