Cannot believe it is even a discussion about moving Laurie to 6..
Adam D is doing great at 6 and Laurie is killing it at 1 with not much ball and against some top teams that defend well..
Even the commentators are raving about him so lets give him a year or 2 to build combos and maybe add a few Kilos.. I truly believe he will turn out to be a superstar and we are lucky to pick him up.

Spine is fine, edge defense is like paper mache

Agree ... Imagine having a Arrow or Wade Graham in our team.... We need to spend some money and get a few top line players

Arrow yes ...think Wade Graham's best days are past unfortunately and might be in the same boat as Cordner

He's not played well for a long while, he's really gone downhill

The effects of the concussions would really mess with your confidence ...not to mention the lack of game time as well

**> “I want to take a bit of pressure off ‘Brooksy’ [Luke Brooks] in attack, and be louder at the back with directing the boys in the defensive line.”**

Young fullback with about a dozen games NRL experience (give or take) trying to take pressure off the 150+ game halfback.

Good to see Laurie taking that initiative but shows that he and Tamou now aren’t too sure of Brooks’ ability to cope as the go to man. Makes the switch harder to comprehend this week but we shall see how it unfolds

Madden starting 5/8 No pre-game pressure on him. Mbye Bench. The best media spin the club has been involved in.

I love this guy, he is heart and talent.

Hasnt dropped a catch.

Hope he is upgraded and a mainstay of the Tigers for ages

You do realise that’s what all fullbacks do right? They are basically a second five eight..

True that. That’s a fair assessment. I retract

...though still irks me that we got such a timid no.7 but guess that’s a story for one of the Brooks threads

I'm so impressed with this kid.

Been a long time since I wasn't the slightest bit worried when a bomb goes up, hes been so safe at the back - taking some really difficult ones under pressure too.

He'll keep on improving in attack too when our spine settles and they gel.

I was hoping for more in his attack

He like many of our new players is very young. He hasnt been given time to develop his game in lower grades because we dont have a full back so he has been thrown in.2021 was always going to be a year of learning and adjustment for him and dont forget he didnt even have a full preseason with his new club

Yep - the two best things this year - safety at the back and a decent goalkicker in Doueihi.

I wouldn’t say terrific game

He was safe at the back and did a couple good things in attack but he still has a bit to do in positional play when it comes to defense

For mine, he needs to be more on the ball. He doesn't appear to have the commanding voice needed to rally a defensive line at fullback either. His run/pass game is probably the best at the club and having him in the halves makes us a lot more dangerous than having him at fullback. He doesn't get good enough ball from our halves, so he should be one.

For now I'm keeping him at 1.

Hes the safest and best we have had at full.back since Teddy.

The exciting thing is, he's gonna be even better.
