Daine Laurie #237

Captain of the club and one of the most promising young players.

Disgusting and we will never sort out the lack of culture in this place if its ignored.

Who cares. He's allowed to support his mates, he's a Penrith boy and always will be!

He played his guts out for us this year, one of the few who played for the jersey. Not worried about his commitment at all

I would certainly not be sacking him. Fine him and make him put in community time. Why release him only for someone else to benefit? Bugger that.

I have less disdain for Laurie as he didn't appear to plaster it all over social media or anything, got caught up in the moment and got caught on camera. Our "captain" made public comments about Penrith this year and posted on social media about them.

Yeah I agree. it is poor form from Daine, but he is a kid, I can forgive him - I think it is much worse for Tamou, he's older and should know better, and he is the captain.

Yep. Agree with you both.

Daines a.young immature kid, no doubt a fee drinks watching the game with mates and when they decided to go out after the game probably pulled on his old jumper, poor drunken decision.

The media will get this... The club needs to pull these blokes... Yes you Pascoe... into line.and be seen to be doing something about it

I think those of you who are upset at this need to put yourself in Daine's shoes. ***He grew up out there***, and is good mates with many of the team. Of course he's going to be celebrating that they won. Putting the jersey on is not the smartest thing to do - but it doesn't deserve the vehement foaming at the mouth some of you are doing. Grow up.

My thoughts are that when you tell people to "grow up" when they are giving their opinions on an internet forum, that you would want to be pretty sure of your facts otherwise you can look like an arrogant goose.

Daine Laurie "grew up" in Iluka. He didnt go to Penrith until 2017.

I agree with conepuncher find it strange men would get cut up about this

Laughable and wrong

100 percent

I wonder if his Pamfers mates will congratulate him when he’s crowned Wests Tigers player of the year

Semantics.

I really dont care as long as they are asked to pull their heads in however publicly would be just fine by me seeings as how these two had absolutely no regard for all the Tigers supporters that now support them on their 'public' social media accounts.

I dont support players on their socials but id imagine some of our fans would be pretty heated and disappointed after seeing these two completely ignore the Wests Tigers fans supporting them.

Count me in as one of the heated and disappointed ones, but the club is trying to build a culture and IMO hanging a kid out in public is unlikely to contribute to that. I'd be dragging him in privately and explaining him what the problem is and how we expect a professional to act.

When we played Penrith, he was really giving it to his old teammates on the field. Forget who it was but some Panther made an error, Daine was straight up in his face to rub it in.

Not sure why you are carrying on about the need for it to be private. I get your point and i tend to agree with it but youve made it like ten times now.

For me i could care less if they cop it publicly from the club. Dont do the crime. Simple.

They deserve everything that is coming their way.

ummmm, because you replied to my post with an explanation of why you thought it should be public and I replied to your reply and gave my opinion of why I thought it should be private. Its kind of how a forum works.

It was very close in my opinion, I would have just had Laurie in front of him based on being at a higher level for most of the season. Though Stefs best was higher than Daine, just for a shorter period.
