Don't sign Potter yet!

Doesn't take long for heroes to have the pitch forks turned on them in the blink of an eye on here now does it

Pathetic

After tonight's game I do not want Potter signed yet ..that display was a joke .the selections were a joke ,the team has absolutely no idea how to split a defensive line ….5 up And kick all night.Young Brooks is being thrown to the wolves IMO , all Anasta does is run across field and gives hospital passes.
It is apparent that a few should not be in the side and until Potter starts to make the hard decisions I do not want him signed, imagine 3 years of what you saw tonight ,yes Robbie comes back as the one man team .What is it with Austin on the bench what is that about ever week the winning formula was 4 pigs on the bench
I have been a big supporter of Potter but I am having second thoughts as what I am seeing gives me no confidence at all....PLEASE souths were a no name side tonight .

get a grip. lawrence doesnt run the ball over the sideline or knock it on we are in that game at probably 6-0 at halftime… it blew out in the end but sheesh are you over reacting or what.

Anyone actually really looked at how this team has been performing over the short term? Take the glasses off…. This has been my first real go at Potter I have supported him from the start ,but to say this is a knee jerk reaction that is a joke in itself.
I really can not be bothered going into details as it is just a waste of time , after last night I do not want the club to sign Potter until it is made clear on the PADDOCK where he is taking this team because at the moment I don't know .
All I see is a bunch of guys running around not knowing what to do and many players well and truly past or are not up to NRL standard , the good coaches go looking for answers and adapt what they have to work with ...I am certainly not seeing this at the moment . No this is not a knee jerk it has been going down hill for a while now and I am starting to think Potter is not up to it I hope he proves me wrong.

Big difference between the Friday night posters and Saturday morning posters, calm down folks.

Yeah we played bad, we have not been playing bad all season, stop getting the knives out for the coach after one loss.

Have **YOU** actually looked at our team over the short to medium term past? This team has been decimated by injuries over the past couple of months. Potter managed to develop a team and plan that scraped some scrappy ugly wins over that period. The Newcastle game was really the first game where we were near full strength and it takes a few weeks to bed back in and get things back up to speed. Straight away after finally getting injured players back we lose Farah, Woods, Fulton against the best pack in the comp.

We played bad and gave away too much ball (not Potters fault) but this is just over reactionary rubbish. Potter has a clue unlike many here.

Don't know why - posted this earlier but lost in cyber space, I'll try again..
'What a difference a couple of weeks and a couple of losses make.

Not long ago Potter was a Champion; winning games; replacing like with like; really good bringing the youngsters on. Sign him up now - long term or short term was the cry.

A couple of losses and a little window opens for Potter, Anasta and Lawrence bashers to have another real go.

What happened to - we may make the eight, it is a rebuilding year, the youngsters need game time to learn, it is really going to be a "Rocks and Diamonds" year - suddenly all of this has been forgotten.

No Robbie, Woods or Gavet is going to find you out big time - not as much go forward you don't have brooks doing as much because he doesn't have time. No Fulton and it leaves a swinging door in the centre.

What about the people who gave all the credit to Kidwell and Payton for all the good plays and coaching when we were winning and that Potter did nothing. Shouldn't you be asking for them to be sacked - after all they are the real coaches.
Defence lets in tries - Thompsons miss on the first try; Ave and others missing Johnson up the middle etc..
This was not Potter's fault - he is not the defensive coach - by the same reasoning as in earlier games why are you not asking for their heads.

It is easy to blame and much more difficult to fix. Let us support the people we have to do the job and believe me they will - Once again - patience people

How's things have changed from 3-4 weeks ago. People wanted him signed ASAP.

I said 4 weeks ago we should wait And see how it plays out. As much as people think we are a better unit we would be in the same position as if sheens was here.

So, Lawrence and Anasta are inexperienced? Or maybe Mick was talking about himself? No mention of fielding three hookers against a giant forward pack. Come on Mick I thought you prided yourself on being a straight shooter.

I penned a fairly forthright email to Potter this morning stating the obvious that he is failing to see….he read it within 1 minutes of me sending it...I hope for his and the teams sake he takes some points on board.
Potter should not be signed until after rd26...give him something to work for.

What happened Mick Potter was the best coach in the world ? Hurry up lets sign him before St. George does
He has never been a good coach and will never be a good coach. Maybe a job in Admin would be more down his alley.
Webster is the guy that needs to be promoted.

Hahahaha….yeh promote Webster. A kid, as first grade coach....

Until a couple of weeks ago I was his biggest fan,but you can't keep picking the same under performing players every week and expect a change.
If he has the gonads to drop Anasta and Lawrence for our next game, and put Sue and Blair on notice, then give him the job.
You can't have lower grade players busting their hump and being continually over looked for under performing NRL players, that is a Sheen's play and is no good for team morale.

I never said potter was a hero, I waited. The facts are that he is letting sub-par players play, that the bench he chose was plain stupid. I believe people were saying this BEFORE the loss.

Hopefully he did the right thing and deleted it immediately once he opened it and realised it was from a nobody in terms of how he coaches the team

Baboon2 sorry to disappoint you but Potter actually replied this afternoon…you see mate the administration at the WT are open to communicating with WT members..why don't you become one and see for yourself...I'll give you a hint if you ever get the conviction to pen them an email...be articulate and constructive in your email and you will get a reply...

The arrogance to think you should email the head coach and hope, "for the team's sake", that he acts on your suggestions.

The dude spends at least 10 x 7 hours per week looking over the team, videos, training etc. He is not failing to see anything, he just sees far more than you do. Not knowing you personally, but I am guessing Potts has played and coached several hundred more first grade games than you have.

Watching 80 mins and paying a few hundred bucks per year entitles you to an opinion and a time to voice it, but don't expect coaches to start running off every time some lunatic supporter emails them.

"Oh gee thanks alexaki, so glad you emailed me today, I had no idea what to do with this team. Certainly we are finals-bound now."

I beg your pardon…you have no idea what I wrote, you have no idea what my expectations were, you have no idea who I am or what my backround is....but you make all these assumptions about me and pen your post....Can I tell you that you are the person who has no idea at all...and you should put a sock in it...I suppose you accept mediocrity (if you know what that means). Put a sock in it....and use your keyboard more constructively next time...
