Doueihi opens up.

Was a fan a few years backs and then became really disappointed in him but yesterday I thought he got some of that form back - showed desire and commitment and holds his position in my team.

He is holding his own defensively and making some very good reads so far this season. Hope that part of his game stays true all season.

Attack wise if the halves and Bula can create space AD will create chances.

Thankfully he has lifted his game from his trial performances, to put in much better efforts in the opening competition matches. On top of that, his goalkicking keeps him in the side as long as his defence remains reasonable.

One thing I've noticed already in 2025 is how much better the decision-making is both inside and outside the centres. So the wingers don't come rushing up and the backrowers/halves can be relied upon to make their tackles, because all of Seyfarth / Sam Fainu / Galvin / Luai are decent defenders, and both Skelton and particularly Turuva appear good judges of holding their position.

Especially against Parra Turuva was really effective at resisting the urge to race in, whereas Parra had the opposite problem, we kept stripping them for numbers when we shifted.

This is taking a lot of the pressure off the centres and they've come up against some decent pairings the past two weeks Best/Gagai, Penisini/Lomax without much damage.

The rhs side had 1 mis tackle between them. Toa made 12 and the baby giraffe made 21 tackles with no misses at halftime.

Your right, But I think it's Turuva/Skelton holding their positions more then our middle defending better.

Funny, two wingers coming from outside our club and they keep to their positions. Holding their defensive line.

While yes Seyfarth/Fainu/Galvin and Luai have improved. You can't really say Toa/AD is a defensive center pairing. Clearly the Bulldogs and Penrith have coached their wings to stay in position and keep their flank safe.

I find it refreshing in this day and age that Adam is prepared to put himself out there. He is a devoted Christian and family man and isn't afraid to let people know. You won't hear Adam say, Í'll leave it to my manager''. He is forthright and believable. Kinda reminds me of when The Crow agreed to coach the eels with just a handshake agreement rather than signing a contract with multiple get out clauses. I fear those days are long in the past. Thanks for being an upright individual AD.
He doesn't have a manager.

I guess you could say that he is his own man. 🤣
