Dugan megathread

Yeah im hearing you Ink, but new season, new players.
Could be a change is as good as a holiday for him.
Add to that if Dugan, Blair & Shackleton walked though the doors @ Concord in November; well, that would certainly put a spring in my step @ training.

Am I the only one worried about paying big cash for a player that has attitude problems and seems physically brittle? Broken nail and he misses a week sorta thing. Ego is something we don't need.

I can see your point but he can play can't he.

I just wish SOMEONE would damn well hurry up and sign already!!! Getting tired of all these would be, could be, is he, isn't he threads and nothing actually happening!

Now that every player who is off contract in the NRL has signed with us whose left to sign with other clubs

i knew there was method to all of this madness

If the Tigers sign Dugan I'll take up gymnastics and start doing backflips.

ON TOPIC: Dugan is gun and would be a great addition.
Don't see it happening but would be siked if it did.

Rothfield is a grub. Dislikes sheens and does not write anything positive about the tigers.

I'm with you sameulcon - anyone who dislikes Sheens is a grub (apart from bug).

Sheens is a genius.

So lets entertain these rumours for a second (Blair, Dugan) and assume they will come true and we are looking at:

Dugan
Tuqiri
Lawrence
Ayshford
Brown
Marsha
Miller/Moltzen/Lui
Woods
Farah
Galloway
Dwyer
Ellis ©
Blair
..................
Heighinton
Groat
BMM/Schirnack/U/20
Fulton

Assuming Heighinton stays. Toyed with Blair second row and Fulton lock also and all depends on how Dwyer recovers really but I think Dwyer could have better impact off the bench. Even so, looking pretty handy (on paper of course) 😛ray:

Would be a fantastic buy if we could keep him on the paddock. Not sure how our salary cap would function if we got him and blair (at their quoted price tags) though, by my estimation that would leave us with 4 players (dugan, blair, robbie and benji) taking almost half of our cap.

LOL Lawrence, Tuqiri, Ellis?

I have no idea weather we will sign Dugan but I think it is possible

From a cap perspective - we get rid of Fifita, Gibbs, Payten, McKinnon and perhaps Moltzen or one or 2 others . We replace them with Dugan and Blair and 4 juniors. Also the players we had got rid of were moving into the end of backended contracts while the new players can be backended with the new TV deal ahead meaning they might not get full price up front, plus we have a bit more room on experienced players allowance (gibbs and farah was rejected but by 2012 we have players for that $200k allowance) and 3rd party payments which Dugan and Blair would def be able to find

From a Raiders perspective - If the y know Dugan will defiantly leave in 2013 and dosen't want to be their and is injured a lot then they may see b etter options for their few hundred thousand next year
