What makes you say that?

All the twitter rumours and "I have it on good authority…" statements?

That is exactly what was said last year, despite the fact that Dugan made no noises and showed no signs that he wanted out. Subsequently he re-signed.

What I can tell you is that Dugan is very happy in Canberra ATM and has ambitions to win a premiership with the playing roster we have. Family is a big part of his life, a very big part of his life, and Canberra is the home of his family.

If he was so unhappy in Canberra, and the rumours of "not seeing eye to eye with David Furner" were indeed true, why would've he re-signed last year? Why would've he re-signed if he was so desperate to leave? He had an opportunity to depart the Raiders but obviously he doesn't desire in doing so.

FWIW, I believe the Furner and Dugan family are very close, as David went to school with Josh's dad. Dugan has on a few occasions laughed off these accusations of disliking Furner.

And, finally, here you have the truth! Time to put all the Dugan rumours to bed. All those, who have smugly posted in this thread that he will definitely be here at the Tigers next year have no idea really. You're just playing with our heads, and it's not nice

By the way, Joey, as I predicted at the beginning of the year, the Raiders are coming home with a wet sail - perhaps there is hope for you yet.

Why is this post necessarily the truth? We seem to have people claiming to be in the know stating both cases at the moment, so who knows which is going to come true. I guess the optimistic will claim that the 'Dugan is coming' claims are the truth and the pessimistic will claim the opposite. All I can say for sure is that I don't know anyone 'in the know' and have no idea whether Dugan will be with the mighty Wests Tigers next year or not. But I am enjoying all the speculation!!!

I can't see him or Blair signing at the moment.

I'll wait until something official is announced but if anyone actually has any info please post it here.

I have also heard, from a fairly reliable source, that Dugan is on his way. I like the sound of it, too, just quietly.

You must be positive about it Suzie, seeing it was posted twice

Oh crap! Sorry everyone on auto-pilot this week … still hope it's true though!

Gee raiders must be very unhappy to be letting him go a year early . Have to ask WHY though .

And that's why all this is, IMO, BS. Why would Raiders Management let OUR BEST PLAYER go to a rival NRL club one year prior to when his deal is up?

He wouldn't have re-signed for anything longer than 2011, if this was the case.

All this doesn't make sense.

Raiders also have another excellent fullback coming through. If they keep Massey they may be able to buy another high profile player we the money they save on the cap

I agree, he will be still in green in 2012

Joey, I don't know if he is going to come over to us or not, but it makes every sense for Canberra to let him go. They have depth in that position and can easily cover the loss of him. They could probably afford three promising juniors for the money they are playing Dugan.

If they weigh up how often he is injured, together with the fact that they already thought he was going to the Roosters, they probably think there are more important players in their squad to keep - like Shillington who re-signed today.

He might stay, but I can see plenty of benefits for the Raiders if he leaves.

Comparing Massey to Dugan That's a bit rich . Like comparing Moltzen to Slater . I hope the good sources are right but unless he has a really bad attitude i just can't see Raiders letting him go early . Hope my words taste far better if he signs with us .

I didn't actually didn't compare them. Purely stating that Massey is a very good prospect. Do you not agree?

Mate, I can guarantee Raiders Management do not want to see Dugan leave the club. They currently are in talks about a contract extension. Dugan is considered our best player, along with Campese and we have plans to build a big part of our possible success in the future around him. We "cannot easily cover the loss of him". Though Massey is a good, solid fullback, he is no Josh Dugan.

This year has been very unfortunate for Duges, but we saw in 2009 and 2010, that if he can have a full pre-season, he can be one of the best fullbacks in the game.

True but if Dugan is committed to leaving in 2013 anyway then best to get it out of the way sooner rather then later if your the raiders

nope happy tiger, you see the same as me. lui is at least a yard slower and i am so tired of him drifting sideways looking for runners when the tigers are in possession. other teams just slide with him because they know he wont take the line on. other 7's with a bit of toe always look for the bigger forward struggling to keep up with the play as a target to run at. but not lui .. too slow, crablike and completely out of confidence. i will take up drinking again if lui is picked again this week

keep the coldies on ice and the champaigne chilled

coldies are cracked, but i will save the champers for friday night … 😛ray:

Far,far to early to call as of yet GTT . Tedesco looks the goods as well and we don't even need to pay him some outrageous amount of money for him that you will for Massey . If we are going to get a new fullback unless he is an established fullback we may as of well put the time and effort into Tedesco .makes perfectly good sense doesn't it ??
