Farah injured, in doubt for round one

Ballin is looking now at round 10 getting to half way through the season interesting, well it is time to suck it up and move forward . Cherrington has always been earmarked and he has played a fair bit of senior footy so really time to step up and move into the future even though a bit early .No hooker plays 80 mins any more Farah probable was going to play 30 max ,no use being negative about it the transition to the younger talent WAS going to happen anyway. I am pretty confidant that Taylor can stop gap for a few games ,as I have previously said Liddle was not out of his depth against a committed Newtown side on Sat night so it is not desperation stakes yet ..Good old Robbie will not be out long that Blues Jersey beckons the wholly grail.

A bit off the subject guys, but my concern is our goal kicking and defence. We are still sorely lacking in those fields, however I hope Farah is back soon, but I'm sure Cherrington will do his best. I thought he looked pretty slick when he came on the field in the trial match.

What a pity Ballin will be on the sideline till at least round 10\. This club can't take a trick can it ??

My main concern with Farah being out is, Taylor might decide to go back to "Taylorball" for a week or two. Because if your going to do five hit ups and bomb you could play anyone at no9, so you just pick your best defensive hitter and use Cherrington off the bench. I doubt he will especially how slick they looked on Saturday night, but he may take a conservative approach. Fingers crossed he has a plan B

**Wests Tigers Injury Report**

Bayley Sironen (foot) — Round 1-2

Dene Halatau (knee) — Round 2

Joel Edwards (hamstring) — Round 1-2

Justin Hunt (back) — TBC

Robbie Farah (knee) — Round 4-6

I do not think Taylor has the option of being conservative I believe he has to roll the dice and continue what he has been moving toward ,can not see him rolling things back a good start is imperative for him and the club!

Why did we sign someone who was going to be out for more than 1/3rd of the season!….

I hope Basil Faulty does not come to mind when hiring Reilly the builder because he was cheap

Taylor should be prepared for this exact scenario. If Farah had of moved on, he bought in Ballin to cover Farah knowing he wasn't ready for rounds 1 to at least 4\. So obviously Cherington to start round round 1\. Maybe he was already planning on using Liddle or maybe he was relying on Halatau being fit first up.
Who knows what Taylor has got up his sleeve, hopefully a plan !

Give it a rest hobbo - we know what you think of him, you don't have to keep pushing it down our throats.

Lets just wait and see with Ballin , you can't shoot him down before he plays a game

He has had success with Manly , he has a great attitude

In my case they are pecs

I like Lovett at 9 to start the game. Control possession tire them out and send cherrington on at backend of half.

Otherwise we roll the dice and hit them with everything straight up aka like Penrith did to the dogs round I in 40 degree heat. Hard without brooks though.

On acside note farah injury shows the folly of signing a player for 4yrs at 32\. He has missed heaps of games thru injury and soo over the last few years. Not his fault but you can't have 1/5 of salary cap unavailable for long periods and hope to be competitive.

If we win this weekend Taylor is a genius…..agreed?

Taylor has been good at replacing a specialist with a specialist.

I would rather the 2 kids learn the ropes (Cherrington and Liddle) then go for a plodder (back rower/utility) as a stop gap.

Defensively we could be in a world of pain however you never know.

I agree. Great opportunity for the young kids. Just means we have to keep the bulk of possession, play good field position, no mistakes etc. something we only did maybe 1/2 dozen times last year but if we get it right I reckon cherry/liddle will run a muck.

Even bigger test for us now.
