Robbie's self-appraisal seems an honest assessment of his goals, behaviour and relationships within and outside the club.
Seems happier and less stressed without the Captaincy.
Hope he and the rest of the boys have an outstanding season…. :sign:

Seems exactly the same to me. Still looks arrogant and self centered. No one doubts the stories of him walking past fans on Saturday.
Yes he talks about less stress and fittest his ever been but basically his the same arrogant person who got rid of the last two coaches and will be trying to do the same again this year.

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. Robbie was very accomodating to fans before & after the game as well as during the warm up.Arrogance is someone who posts something hoping it is true to support their opinion. Perhaps you should try being a true supporter.
supporter
səˈpɔːtə/Submit
noun
1.
a person who approves of and encourages a public figure, political party, policy, etc.

You were at the game or seen video of Robbie as you say?

The way Robbie cops it here it is a wonder he is not being blamed for the black holes in the universe

It's interesting how Robbie cops it so bad from some people on here without any facts whatsoever.

One of the best Wests Tigers players ever.

I was at the ground and somewhat agree with this assessment… Even straight after the game Robbie gave away his boots to a young fan and took photos etc.

They cant service every fans dreams every time!

Seems to be admitting some deficiencies, so I will give him a shot at regaining my support, but he has a long way to go in getting back the respect that I lost for him over the last few years.

If he can leave all the other stuff aside and just be part of the team then his undoubted skills will put us in good stead, now if only he could pass off the groung, what a player he would be.

Time for a media ban on Farah. Of course it is nothing to do with what Farah said, but media outlets will keep writing the same crap all season, they will keep going to Farah for a story on his relationship with JT.

Time to move on and try encourage the media to focus on positives story's,mind you it is now up to JT and his team to give the media plenty of other good things to write about by winning football games

There should be an apology or two over this issue. His statement was humble, he did not blame anybody else, took blame himself and then was vilified by WT fans as well as fibs being made up about him. He is the vital plug in the defence that WT needs, don't put him off, let us get our money's worth out of him.

As already mentioned, i'd rather be reading this when we're the surprise packets sitting in the 8 halfway through the yr, not 3 weeks before the start of the season when we haven't achieved anything.

It's not going to smell like roses if we're losing again, it will erupt, regardless if its drummed up by the media or not. And this time the board will have to make a decision and not be spineless by going back on that decision.

Everyone knows well how I feel about Farah but to spread rumours about giving fans the shake when in actual fact he did the opposite is pretty ordinary.

“We’ve set some goals. I’m working on our attacking structure with Mitchell and Brooksy. We have made good progress there so he has given me a lot of confidence.
>
“While we aren’t the finished product, we are excited about the little changes we have made with our structures.”

I hope he has included Ballin in on this.

I waited for about 15 minutes aftet the game and Farah was the first over to a fan in the crowd to give him his boots. Felise and a couple of other boys came over to hig family and friends. They all went inside after that. They may have come back out but on what I saw he was the only one who made an effort he didn't have to.

Robbie needed a wakeup call, from the look of things it has hit home…Farah will certainly play better and take a better attitude with him on and off the field...there will be no pressure on him to get involved with things within the club or anything other than football..it is good to hear he has been working with Brooks and Moses in regards to the attacking structures that JT has in place for them..this is JTs second phase of getting the younger guys playing the NRL game, last year he focussed on defense this year hopefully they can attack and score points during a game and defend a lead..this year will certainly be JTs judgement year...JT needs to be left to do his job and coach this team,Robbie needs to do his job and play a key role within this team, its that simple,if all goes well the team should be much higher on the ladder than the previous year and if so then we can say there has been significant improvement on the field......

Not much said about Farah by anyone is objective anymore - peoples views/opinions are mostly clouded by their intense dislike for him, and or their undying loyalty. Cant see that changing any time soon no matter what he "apparently" says or does.

I'm just going off what a fan on Twitter said. In his words he was 'made to feel like crap'. I don't think this guys has anything to gain from making that sort of thing up.

I find it interesting, paraphrasing Robbie, that letting go of the captaincy has ended up helping him relax more and bring a different mindset to training.

I would have said 6+ months ago he was doing everything he could to fight to stay as captain. It would almost seem like he has been forced to make some changes, concessions perhaps, as a result of last's years attempt to move him on, and he's now saying that some of it is for the better.

Frankly if you are a stress-head leader, if you carry to much burden yourself or you distance yourself from your team in order to process or calm down, that's not ideal. We need a captain who stays as level-headed as possible when times are tough. And if Robbie is not that person any more, I'm glad he made the decision / agreed to step aside.

Sorry mate, it was more a shot at the jerk who dreams up the story. It wasn't meant to be a shot at you.

Agreed. You don't want a captain who admits to sulking for days when he loses and doesn't talk to anybody. What kind of leader is that?

I'm so glad to read this cause when I read fumbles post…...I thought surely not, this is a team Sport and not how Robbie's mood swings are doing.

He will be an asset if he just worries about all the onfield stuff, not being the Captain will be one less distraction.

I'm relieved.

"Farah insists he can work with Taylor this season and has pledged to play a more attacking style in 2016 after an off-season appraisal with halves Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses."

He is still the best dummy half to get us on the front foot in both attack and defence. A switch in captaincy will be a good thing going forward

That's why Woods as a captain may just turn out to be a masterstroke. He's jovial, up-beat, almost whimsical to the point of absurdity. That stupid haircut of his, it's not about function, it's about not stressing or caring too much about what other people think. If he brings that mentality to being captain, I think it is a positive.

The only thing I took notice of from this article is that he will play a more attacking role.
I didn't see the point in keeping him with the old structure in attack.
