Farah/Taylor Thread...

I don't understand when people are saying that JT handled the situation badly. From what I understand, they talked to his manager on the quiet. all of a sudden there was an article in the paper. I don't think the club would have leaked that…

This could have been all behind closed doors and only 1 bloke and his manager had any reason to chat to the press.

There was no need for it. Yes he is overpaid for what he offers us but it was never going to go well.

I can just picture how the apology would have went. I'm sure Farah was standing there with his arms folded with a smug look on his face.

So what your saying is we should be encouraging our coaches to only make the easy decisions never the hard ones. Only back them when they give in to players not when they stand up to them. Thats worked so well for us over the last few years

Definitely not. The coach has to make some tough decisions. I love all the palava regarding player power as well. That is just something that some people have made up.

It's pretty simple to me. Some muppet signed Robbie on a long term contract where he is overpaid. That is out of your control.

Robbie is also a quality no 9 and one of our best players. He isn't the reason we weren't and still aren't performing well enough. Try to get the maximum value out of him.

Whilst he would not had known at time of doing the interview, cant help but feel the timing stinks. The day after the ownership structure was sorted with the NRL no longer having a hold over the club and to cap a momentous day, a great win against Brisbane in Brisbane.

The article the next morning…..all about Robbie and how much he loves NSW and how he won't forget how someone told him he was not playing to the appropriate standard.

Why couldn't the article wait till Wednesday morning?

Storm in a teacup. Same recycled questions from last year with Farah trying to justify poor club and NSW form from last year. Peats is the deserved NSW hooker. He should leave the Taylor stuff alone and show some leadership.

It is always good to have Jurnos on Speed dial ..do we really think this was not deliberate! a young Tigers side winning again with out the legend and the new guy showing the way and the young halves responding!

So would we rather this all just be swept under the carpet? We all know the playing group HATE Taylor, but can't speak honestly, yet when someone is asked a question and answers it honestly we jump all over him?

Seriously! None of this will end until Taylor is gone because Farah will be gone if not after this year then after next. And our club will be worse for his departure

We all know? I don't.

I guess that's why some players have re-signed lately.

Wise up.

hope he's dropped after origin. robbie hasn't shown any respect for the jumper and the club in the last 2 years, why should the club show him any respect now. get out of here, robbie. please.

I can give the benefit of the doubt….but the timing stinks!

Its not that bad, im sure the journalists are coming to him not the other way around. He has every right to be bitter. I myself will never get over it and im just a supporter. I dont blame him for not letting it go nor should he. Robbie will be remembered as one of the tigers true greats and the club crap'd on him. I give him credit he could have carried on much worse really i for sure would have

No player is bigger than the club….any club, tho Robbie thinks he is.

He doesnt have to let it go....but some just cannot see the bigger picture
Him saying all this again shows he doesnt give a crap about the team, club or coach...selfish

Couldve been a club legend...his ego got in the road

I dont think for one second taylor was getting rid of robbie on playing ability or cap alone.

It would have been because of ignoring or underminding coaches instructions or attitude.

I think youll find every senior player was asked to help with the salary cap by looking at options. Chalk and cheese in the response between robbie vs Lawrence, galloway etc.

the player power call came from a sheens interview when he said 'senior players get rid of coaches' . Robbie or benji? I know where my money is.

Never a truer word spoken , I just don't think that Robbie is prepared to admit that father time finally caught up with him in 2013 and he is prepared to destroy everything and everyone to keep himself and his career afloat

Good article
Even better to see his honesty
You jokers talking about our record without Farah have got to be kidding yourself
Take a look at our record over the last 5 years and see how it stacks up
Club legend so have some respect .

The man himself recognised that the contract he and his manager negotiated would be problematic at the time of signing, so why was the current situation a shock to him. Sure, the prior administration were a party to this, but they have been moved on, but sadly after they allowed the then coach whose recommendation they ignored was shown the door in terrible circumstances.

Whilst his form has been down for a fair while, that is not the major problem for a lot of us, rather what many perceive as a selfish ego driven individua, that we are happy to see gone, some as captain and others gone altogether as well. I have been of the latter opinion for a couple of years.

I wish him well playing for his supposedly beloved team, whilst sadly thinking it is now only the one that wear blue. I will remember his exploits, especially from when he was one of the very best players for a number of seasons,, but because of actions over the last few years, he has lost the title of club legend from me.

I'm sure that will greatly sadden his day.

The sad part is that it won't GCT. If he truly believed some of the stuff he says about caring for the club, it should.sadden him that I and a good percentage of its supporters feel the same way..
