Farah/Taylor Thread...

Taylor started this saga. He needs to end it.

Id say Farah started this round.
Things seemed to be travelling smoothly until the article before Origin

It started when Taylor didn't have the balls to carry out his threat. By failing to put Farah in reggies and leave him there, he gave Farah authority over him.

Yes, Farah's comments, although stating the bleeding obvious, did reignite the situation.

Taylor hasn't helped by playing coy about whether Farah will play this week.

Resting and now Benching Farah in place of Halatau who should not be anywhere near the NRL

Signing of Matt Ballin.

This would be funny if it wasnt my team

When will the club do the honourable thing and remove JT?

Its all about wins at the end of the day.

If we cant improve on 8 wins and 15th place then I would be pulling the plug on him.

Our roster is not a Top roster but it does have some talent.

Were not improving at the minute which is a real concern. Defence has got worse. Selections seem to be questionable at times. Game plans etc.

I know I am stating the obvious but these last 11 games are crucial for him. Keep going like we are and I would have little sympathy for him if he were sacked.

The trouble is, is that he's only one part of a selection team that includes buckets. He seems to have some support there.

This is getting ridiculous. Is Taylor doing a good job? Not really. But we've won 5 games, and are one of a dozen inconsistent teams. He's not going anywhere. Suck it up.

Talyor has to be gone at seasons end and there is only 2 reasons why ..Brooks and Moses he has no idea how to get them to perform to the talent that they have,Taylor has no idea how to handle these two none!

I think it was telling when Freddy asked before the Roosters match what does the team need to do to win in conditions such as these, and you can't say hang onto the ball.

Trent Robinson gave an intelligent and articulate answer. Jason Taylor was totally lost.

Yes - how awkward was that. Felt the same way .

i was thinking the same but dont anymore.

the best we do this year imo is 12-14\. better than last year, sure.

but 15th 1st year then again in the bottom 4 next year is not good enough, idc if it's bellame/bennett, it's a ridiculous record.

secondly, we haven't even looked like improving. we aren't inconsistent, we are crap. we do one or two magical tries with tedesco a game and that's it.

lastly, taylor has had all the support so far- picked his own assistants, his own staff- has had all the free reign and has produced crappy results

i wouldn't fire him now though but certainly won't be going into negotiations for next year's contract and look at other possible coach's now.

I don't want our coach blurting out our game plan on LIVE TV

Coaches are watching other coaches these days during half time breaks , time outs etc , happened recently in a NBL game when the opposition coaches assistant was watching what the other team's plan for a last second play was on his I Pad

So you blokes would trust Freddy Fittler , an ex Roosters player , captain and coach not to whisper in a Fitzgibbon's ear what our game plan was ??

I sure as shoot wouldn't , should of told Freddy to flick off before he kicked his head in :smiling_imp:

Yeh, had to laugh
As Mike said, Robinson gave an intelligent answer to a simple question " what does the team need to do to win in conditions such as these, and you can't say hang onto the ball".
With Taylor, you could see his eyes rolling around in the back of his head as he said " ah what, I can't say hang on to the ball. Ah, ah, defence yes defence is very important in conditions like this, we have to get our D right ah plus ah, hang onto the ball"
Nothing to do with game plans, just simple instructions every coach would throw at their players in wet conditions.

It would have sounded worse if he had said the plan was to move up slowly except for our right hand side defence with 1 player leaving gaps, poor dummy half play and a kicking game which didnt involve getting repeat sets.Do you really think Robinson would believe such an incompetent plan?
Funnily enough that was what we all saw happen

I laugh at his supposed club legend tag. Club legends don't carry on the way he does. He's no legend.

He's no legend, but he will be. True and deserved or not, hes building a legacy in the media that will forever paint him as the spoiler for the last few WT seasons.

For mine, Independent of Taylor or any other coach, Farah at WT is now just poison. That may not be true and he may be the most misunderstood individual in the history of the club but that no longer matters.

The mere perception of his supposed history of rifts with coaches gives the media ample opportunity to destabilise WTs season whenever he talks to them. In a team with so many impressionable youngsters I think that is significant.

I don't doubt that he 'bleeds black, white and gold', but it's time to look around at the collateral damage that is ruining his legacy even if that has been unfairly constructed by the media.

A legend would let his football do the talking. In my opinion, if he wants to leave any positive legacy at WT, the next thing he should be saying to the media is; 'as much as I love WT I realise it's time to move on…........

I've given you a big enough target, take aim..........

It shouldn't be the case that half or more of a Clubs supporter base believe that our best ever player is toxic. He polarizes people and sadly it affects us on and off the field. Interesting that Nathan Brown and I share a very good friend, after Sheens,he wanted to interview for the job which eventually went to Potter. But he told Humphries the first thing he would do is take the captaincy off Farah. The interview never happened, and 2 Coachs later were still having the same issues.

I hate reading stuff like this. Is this really true ? Personally I doubt it. The way that Farah has been managed over the last couple of years to me says it's definitely not true.

In stating that I want Robbie to go. He was mentioned above as our best ever player. I don't see that. He was great when he was on but he has always had a hog play in him that has lost us games. He has also lost the ability to make good metres out of dummy half late in his career. Now we have an overpaid player who is the best hooker in the club but nowhere near the best player.

The media also continually target him however JT is just as much to blame for this in my opinion. The thing is I wonder if either of them are really doing that much to inflame the situation. I think the media just smells blood and any little chance they get they will attack. I think it's best that both JT and Robbie go. They are both not performing to the level we require from them. Maybe if Robbie goes then JT might come good but geez he hasn't just made mistakes in relation to Robbie.
