Farah to SOUTH SYDNEY in 2017..OFFICIAL..

Ah the hypocrisy. I thought the DT was scum unless of course they publish a story that provides opportunity to have a dig.
I'm assuming Ayoub didn't veto this one.

There are reports that the Wests Tigers have insufficient funds to make a lump-sum termination payment to Robbie Farah.

The club is seeking to make periodic payments instead, with the amount to be paid remaining a subject of contention between the Wests Tigers and his future club.

The Rabbitohs have largely been the frontrunners in the race to sign Farah, with the Sharks also reportedly expressing interest following the retirement of Michael Ennis at season's end.

Oh, what a surprise. A business doesnt have a spare $600K to pay YOU tomorrow in the form of a top up termination payment. Im keen to know which NRL team or any other business could?

And whats that, the a###holes are prepared to pay your outstanding amount in exactly the same way as they and you have budgetted for if you were staying? The hide of these bastards.

This is what gets me. It's always Robbie/Ayoub doing all the negative stuff and making up stories but when there is a chance to tee off at Robbie it's all in.

You have got to be joking. He is not staying because they don't want him - now you expect him to cop not getting what they owe him until they can afford it ??Maybe he can subsidse some more players contracts for the club like he did last time until they can afford to pay him.
Hate on Farah all you like but very hard to support the clubs position in this argument.

Ok, can see the delay now, Farah wants the Wests portion of his contract up front. That's a fair position from a negotiation stand point.

Would seriously doubt the club or one of the stakeholders does not have the cash available right now. Essentially it is a time value of money preference that both parties have to negotiate.

No one here will know, but really, it comes down to the terms contract in the event of severance.

It's all a matter of negotiation….

Gosh, I really should stop looking at Facebook. Some of the things I read.

_"I'll never follow this joke of a club again. Robbie should take them to court."_
- Okay…so you want our club to even more screwed than before?

_After 62 years a fan, I will leave with Robbie_
- Wests Tigers existed before Robbie Farah.

Why aren't I reading comments about how we're on the edge of the eight and how exciting it is to have a chance of making finals?

Im not joking despite your shock. Its a simple question. Who has that $$$$?

If he was sacked, ABSOLUTELY he should be paid immediately in full. But he hasnt been sacked.

If he was staying, he would be getting monthly payments like all players. Why should he get a lump sumpayment, yet the clubs commitments are still being counted in next years cap? You cant have one witnout the other. Sorry.

If the clubs that want him are smart, they should be offering a 1 yr contract, at the lowest possible cost to them , and next year give him an extension at the right money for the next year. That'd make tTigers pay out the bulk of the money owed and Farah would get a new contract through next year.May be that's what happening already.

Yeah I agree Swordy. Since when does a player being moved on have the right to a lump sum payment? Is that how these arrangements normally work, and why is it our clubs financial details are always being "leaked" to the media?

Ha, trying to hold influence over a club before he even signs.. typical. If Farah went to a new club I would've thought he would take a back seat and just play.. Maybe that really is just too hard for him..

Must be fact if its reported in the daily telegraph lol.

According to Paws it's a reputable source

You'd be all over it if it were reporting the re-signing of ET. No double standards whatsoever!

With bells on.

Usually when your SACKED you don't get your entitlements .
…and what happens when the monthly payments to Farah stop ..( which they probably will , knowing our club )!

600K is chicken feed .... Just pay him FFS and let's move on !

If true, you'd think that the club would have checked the bank account Before. Trying to boot someone out, not much sense in turning the club upside down and then finding out that the Piggy Bank hasn't got enough money in it to pay him out.
Yep we've gone a long way.

Article in Telegraph today states that St. George-Illawarra approached Farah. According to the article, he would negotiated that he would only sign if Benji Marshall remained at the club. St. George-Illawarra declined further negotiations.

Interesting about influencing a club and players ..hearing this is why The Sharks backed out ,not needing the baggage.

Lol, $250k should not be counted in this deal as it was back dated money that was already owed?
Wiedler rubbish and my God people are buying it.

I can maybe guess that this $250k was never listed in any years salary cap. So go figure.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS CIRCUS TO END.

How does a player receive his contract money anyhow? Is it lump sum at the start of the season or monthly payments or whatever? If it is the latter then WT surely aren't obligated to pay a lump sum?
Wish to Christ he would just hurry up a sign somewhere else, had absolute respect for the way RF busted his guts for our club over many years but it is just a toxic vibe around this whole schemozzle now the sooner it is over the better for all parties.
