I recommend Athlean-x and Jeff Cavalier

Site looks a little over the top but once you get passed that and into programs it’s quality

https://athleanx.com/

Hes on youtube too.
Pretty informative stuff.

Guy is shredded too.

With all tho, our bodies work differently.
But his opinion is pretty spot on.

Has anyone ever done pilates.my wife wants me to go with her for a 10 week challenge. I've only been to local footy training. Tried weights when I was 20 but really didn't like them

Yeah, got a few dvds and tried it at home.
Its good.

Get ya up off the lounge at least and since u dont like weights its probably up your alley. Buy some nice yoga pants too while you're at it, sweet heart.

But in all seriousness, you should give the weights another go.

Did pilates for half a dozen years due to the fact I kept straining my left groin playing touch football and it was either this or yoga to assist with stretching and strengthening the area. I found it very beneficial as during that time only had one or two twinges in the left groin. I did pilates though in a class of only 3 people at a time which also had the reformer machine etc (so not a gym style pilates class but at a pilates studio) so the instructor concentrated on each person's particular issue whilst we also all worked on our core strength.

Wouldn't mind giving pilates a go, apparently great for core strengthening and since weights are not an option for me I reckon it'd be a good alternative.

Get a YouTube tutorial.
Or go to the over 40s yoga singles.
Prob a good way to meet some honeys.

Take cktiger as a wing man.

YT tutorials might be alright if there's a half decent instructor actually doing videos, not just some nuffy who took a couple of classes and decides to become an online instructor.

I'll let the other comments go through to the keeper, got a good one at home.

Bit of extra curricular fat burning with a new training partner never hurt anyone.

Haha... We're trying for a second one soon so the practicing has amped up.

Oath.

Pilates can be deceptively hard. I got dragged along with the minister to a class she does at a pilates studio with the reformer machines. As we went through the instructor kept saying if that feels too easy put this colored strap on or use a heavier weight. So of course me being the fool that i am i kept amping it up because it all felt pretty easy. Next day i felt like a 90 year old man and could barely get out of bed. No weights session i've ever done has hurt as much as that one and only pilates class!! The boss loves it though. It helps counteract the shortening effect of weights with all the stretching. Not that she lifts heavy enough to really be an issue but thats a whole other story.....

Agree with some of the above about pilates. It's a bit trickier than you might expect.

At the end of the day though, I reckon it's not far off being a fancy version of stretching.

I was bad,
Started hard.but by Thursday I didn’t pack lunch and was getting lazy with my workouts
But I’ll start going hard again tomorrow 🔥🥩

Awesome.

Already spoke about tuesday body weight above I think -

Wednesday was boxing/ cardio/core.

thursday rest.

Friday Weights - Chest and Legs, light jog.

This morning the young fella got up at 6am and bravely asked if I wanted to go on a Parkrun.
Initially I dismissed his request, then thought about it - first of all he would have set the alarm to get up and then have the courage to ask, and i've been encouraging him to get a bit fitter - man, I'm being an asshole here - so i got up, took him Down to Paradise Point for the park run, and pushed out an agonizingly close 30:04 over the 5kms.

Have to say to get up and do it with less than an hours notice, and to smash out a 30 min 5kms, I'm not all that mad.

Tomoz morning a boot camp with friends before work.

Managed to electrocute myself at work trying to sort out a faulty eftpos / no internet issue

Does that count

Can u fly now?

Biceps and triceps for Aus day.
Off to 10 hour shift today for those penalty rates $$$$

No training for me today.
Hope you all get up and have a crack today tho if u got the day off.

Saturday did leg presses, and upper body stuff at gym, also 10 min on exercise bike, 10 min on elliptical machine.
Today thigh and leg strengthening exercises at home..
Slowly and cautiously doing some squats, with very light weights.

In late August 2019, I had a right knee arthrotomy operation to remove a benign tumour from right knee cap area.
This operation and recovery time is identical to a ACL / knee replacement, where the specialist cut you open from above knee cap to top of shin bone.
Progressing well, fluid around knee cap area, slowly going away.
A little awkward walking down stairs, as when you bend knee, fluid compresses restricting full range.
Slowly started to run a little, still feels very tight all around knee area.

The way I look at it is like a rusty link on a pushbike chain, it will free up.
A lot of other people have far worse to deal with, I am very fortunate and have nothing to complain about.
