Food thread

I've never been a big fan of vanilla slice but after 26 years with my better half she decided to surprise me with creme schnitten, basically vanilla slice. She makes the whole thing, about a meter long, including filo pastry, from scratch and it is melt in your mouth delicious. Not really on my diet though. So, as it turns out, I dont have to go very far for snot block, although if I ever called it that she would never make it again.

I started making my own bread, yoghurt, and ice cream a couple of months ago.

Loving all three!

I was amazed to learn that with 100g of greek yoghurt and a litre of milk I can make a litre of yoghurt and then use 3 tablespoons of the yoghurt I made and another litre of milk to make another litre of yoghurt. It's never ending and all made in a freakin' bread machine!

Add a bit of honey and fruit and it's beautiful.
