Four Signings Announced

Out of the blue these signings. Fairly happy to have 3 new forwards (Anasta included) in the mix, although I haven't taken much notice of their games. Not everyone needs to squeeze into the 17\. Depth is always good. Don't forget the injuries we've had this season.
 
Trying desperately to work out tigers recruitment strategy. It's like they do their shopping at garage sales and if it's cheap, yeh I'll take it.
I like pettybournre, alot. One of the hardest runners in the NRL.
But bodene Thompsom…..... Really. More fringe NRL back rowers....... Really. Is he better than moors?
Masada iosefa..... Really . How would pat Politoni feel right now. Even Tom humble. Where will he play next year or moltzen.
We are not looking for a halfback because benji will play out his career at 7\. Anasta 6.
Tedesco 1\. Moltzen????? Humble ??????

I am pretty sure that Thompson was with us for a short time.

I think that he may take the place of Ayshford in the centres. With Ayshford moving to the forwards. Heino may not be with us much longer.

That's how I see it too. The best news by far out of this is Noafaluma resigning. I thought we would lose him sure. He is killing it on the wing but really looks like a center to me.

I can't imagine pettybourne and Thompson are on massive money. They aren't big name signings but with guys like santi and vela (plus BMM) coming through we don't really need big name backrowers.

Thompson was a very highly rated junior ball playing back rower but got stuck playing center as the titans had no one else to play there. This stuttered his career a bit, hopefully sheens keeps him in the one position cause there's no doubting he can play.

I think so. I'm worried that we'd get burned if we signed Manu.
 
great to see we did sign one of our young guns , the other 2 , eddie will add punch as he does have a go , thompson , i have not really looked at him much but will now , i do feel for a few of our current boys , some will be gone , moores , chris h , fulton maybe , moltz , humble , , we have to pay for the new signings somehow
 
Pettyborne will be a good signing the other 2 are depth signing IMO we already have better players not getting a regular run atm

I've seen a fair bit of Pettyborne. He's basically Junior Moors.

I don't really understand why we'd sign him when Junior can't get a game and will likely be forced out. They are essentially the same player. Pettyborne is a bit bigger but has much worse hands.
 
Pettybourne have always rated…. runs with vigour and bends the line with great leg-drive. Defensively probably needs work.

B.Thompson could still be anything....mobile and good wide running back rower.

These 2 definetly address a shortfall we have had in our pack for years...AGRRESSION!

Have to agree a bit about Pettyborne. His handling does seem to let him down on occassions. However he does run straight & hard and is still relatively young.

I believe Nofu is the best signing of the lot. He has been impressive in all teams progressing through the grades and hopefully that continues all the way to first grade. Was always seen as having talent & regularly picked in junior rep teams.

A few people have mentioned Sika Manu as a possible signing. BMM seems to have almost identical size & attributes as him and over time may be just as good.
 
Good signings IMO. Pettybourne will provide quality 'go forward', good hard- hitter in defence too, likewise with B.Thompson and Iosefa is vastly underrated, I just hope Sheens utilizes him and he's not one of these cheap signings who just goes by the way side.

Well, the question now is who is and isn't in the coach's plans for 2013 and beyond? Tuqiri, Utai, Miller, Humble, Cashmere, Reddy (I think), Bell, Moors and Moltzen all off contract at the end of season, it's gonna be very interesting times ahead. Stay tuned.
