Frank Pritchard has scotched rumours of unrest at Belmore in the most emphatic fashion – by agreeing to a three-year extension to remain at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Pritchard will finish his career at the blue and whites after agreeing to terms on a $1.6 million deal. The New Zealand international shunned interest from a number of rival clubs to remain under coach Des Hasler.
The 28-year-old is the third big-name forward to to recommit to the club in recent days after Greg Eastwood and Aiden Tolman also signed extensions. The Bulldogs have been plagued by a series of vulgar rumours, including a fallout between players including Pritchard and Ben Barba.
Pritchard’s re-signing is further proof they have no substance as outgoing chief executive Todd Greenberg makes good on his promise to keep the nucleus of the grand finalists together before taking on a senior management role at Rugby League Headquarters.
