Kenny Sutcliffe will be interviewing both fighters tomorrow morning on wide world of sports if anyone's interested.

**I'll give Mundine credit for coming out today & apologising to Geale in person for what he said about his wife & kid.It was a disgraceful comment but it takes a big man to put your hand up when you've done the wrong thing.**Hopefully that's the end of the political statements & the talk/hype is now just on the fight.

The problem with the idiot is that he comes out and apologises for every thing that he says- either say what you believe, be a man and stand by your comments or just don't talk about crap in the first place if you then feel the need to retract your ridiculous statements. He is a moron…firstly the September 11 comments and now this.
As the saying goes "the empty can rattles the most", I'm looking forward to him copping a beating.

Yeh i agree with what your saying & he hasn't seemed to of learnt from making similar mistakes in the past, that's why i posted in this thread that he rubs people up the wrong way. I'm sure it won't be the last time that he will say something he will regret later but he could of just said nothing & stood by what he said to Geale or be man enough to apologise & say it crossed the line. I wouldn't be surprised if he got into politics once his career is over.

DANIEL Geale is putting up all he has and wants Anthony Mundine to do the same.

Geale is risking his IBF title and future riches in America to fight Mundine and believes Mundine, whose career is fast fading, should also have something significant at stake.

"If he loses then that's it, he can finish up," Geale said.

Geale wants Mundine to do all of Australia a favour and retire if he is beaten.

Oh, to dream.

The irony of it, though, is it might be an easier choice for Mundine than most think.

Despite his ongoing claims about conquering America and all the great names within it, the truth is Mundine is next to unwanted in the States.

For some reason, his seventh round stoppage of Bronco McKart, a 41-year-old has-been who was world champion when Paul Keating was still Prime Minister and has been in steady decline since, failed to convince even one main event promoter to pick up the phone to Mundine and book him on a card in America.

MoreWhy Mundine needs to be hated

On top of that his pay-per-view sales were waining, talk of fighting the Miguel Cottos and Floyd Mayweathers was simply gibberish designed to keep his name alive and to manufacture some false injustice if it fails to come off, and the landscape in Australia was drying up.

The only other fight in Australia to bring the kind of money he used to demand, besides Geale, was a rematch with Danny Green, but they have been campaigning in divisions more than 15kg apart since their 2006 fight, meaning only money could make that happen, and there probably was not even enough of that anymore.

So Mundine was in boxing Siberia until Geale's management reconsidered an offer to fight Mundine, the last money fight left for Mundine.

If Geale loses it will not only cost him his title but set him back years, while potentially ending this one chance he has to make significant money.

If Mundine loses there is nowhere to go but to keep making noise, so Geale wants him to go into retirement.

"I don't feel anything for him," Geale said.

"I don't dislike him and I don't like him."

MoreMundine versus the nation

Trying to incite Geale at last Thursday's press conference, Mundine joked that he thought all the Tasmanian Aborigines were dead - a joke about the extinction of his own people, from a man trying to set himself up as a leader - and that Geale had a "white woman, white kids".

"I never realised the magnitude of it until when I was probably driving back home," Geale said.

"Thinking about it I realised how stupid some of the things he said were."

Mundine apologised yesterday, three days too late, on Nine's Wide World of Sports.

Geale accepted the apology because he recognised that for all the nastiness of the original comments the apology was heartfelt and sincere.

He also recognised that once more Mundine is making this fight about him, but this time it is a ride he is happy to take.

Geale is his own worst salesman - and so the better Mundine can sell their fight the more he benefits.

But he wants Mundine to have something at risk, too, and so has challenged him to retire if he loses.

It is as combative as Geale is likely to get before their fight, expected next January - although he did prefer the apology had been to his wife.

When Geale spoke to his wife Sheena after Mundine her first words were: "You can't accept the apology on my behalf."

So Mundine still owes an apology to Sheena Geale.

"Whether she accepts it or not is a different story," Geale said. "She can be a bit fiery."

Mundines major problem is that he is poorly informed and essentially stupid. The bloke should just fight and leave the politicising to those who work in the areas he constantly champions, be it Aboriginals or Muslims, as his regurgitated rhetoric is always off the mark and does more harm than good to those affected.

Either that or he devotes some time to truly learning the issues and some do some damned research. In my opinion, most of what he sys can be classed as hate speech in some form. I am glad Mrs Geale has not accepted the appology as it is insufficient and once again the damage has already been done.

Absolutely, the tosser can barely string a couple of intelligent sentences together. The more he spouts his racist garbage, the more he disgraces himself and his supposed followers. The time has come for his circus sideshow to come to a punishing, hurtful end.

The problem with him is that he has digested way too many Muhammad Ali movies and quotes and in his usual style tries to imitate like a monkey and baffle with his usual BS…. he probably never really got over the fact that he cost the Dragons a premiership in 99 with his selfishness (no doubt he wouldn't admit to that either,he lives in permanent denial).

i just figured, that we havent seen the end of Mundine. Geale will win tomorrow night so that means obviously there will be a rematch. Has to be. Mundine will live another day if he loses. Thats what i think anyway. When Mundine loses he has nowhere else to go but a rematch. We havent seen the end of Mundine yet.

It was all set up. My question is why do some Aboriginals like Mundine keep going on along the lines of racist so on and so on . I have 2 Aboriginal mates that even they say that, the total Aboriginal community a quite well looked after by the Government …... they pay no schooling fees , Dentists bill etc. i feel discriminated for my kids and myself for being a white fella .
Mundine should get over the racist bit and get knocked out tomorrow nightand stop embarrasing his own people.

I like how he calls fellow Aboriginal people Uncle Toms.

Sure the term comes from the American book Uncle Toms Cabin and is solely about the experience of African Americans during a time period but good on him for ignoring the utter irrelevance of it all and letting his moron light shine bright.

Anyone know what time the undercard will be done by and when the mainevent starts? Keen to head to the pub and watch but being a Wednesday if its to late I wont be able to

Usually late starts for the main event.

It is how they make their $$$ at venues who buy the fights

Max 30 poss. rounds on the undercards so could be as late as 11pm
