Halves Pairing

I thought in city country he didn't get involved enough but prob too early in his developerment and season. However what he dido had a touch of class his passes were lovely, when. He runs he looks like breaking the line and his defence again was really solid and his kicks were ok. He has class and I think a Sironen Benji in the halves is our best in 2013 but for next week Sironen and moltzen

Agree, Boon: Siro 5/8 - he has looked good in all his appearances in the top grade last year and this, and he just gave a good account of himself in the City side. He also made 20 tackles vs St G. Has first grade written all over him, we would be mad not to use him somewhere.
Moltzen Halfback - he is the most experienced half left standing, and he is a playmaker to assist Robbie.
Tedesco fullback - Word on the injury was that he'll be right for the Broncos. Didn't have much of a game vs Country, but we are committed to him long term.

Siro is a 5/8 about as much as Mateo, Gillette, Bird, Hayne, Lawrence are 5/8s. Yeah they can wear no 6 catch and pass a ball but that's about it. Their strengths lie elsewhere not as playmakers, if you can't see that maybe rugby league isn't for you.

He played 6 about 3 hours ago. For city, but he is still probably more suited to back row

Based on what?

He is tall…..played a nuffy rep game where no one passed him the ball.

Please.....the experts on here are high on crack.

well, he's probably in the top few biggest halves in the NRL at 19\. Makes a buttload of tackles each games even though he's playing at 6\. Makes BIG runs, e.g. disallowed try vs dragons and some solid runs today and doesnt have an amazing kicking or lateral running game (stepping and the speed). And, with the plethora of halves at the tigers; moses, brooks, miller, benji, anasta, moltzen we dont really need him there either.

So, Sirro the forwards i reckon. He could maybeee handle centre but dunno about the sliding defence.

Tell us more about your brilliant 1st grade career TIGER?

I promise if asked I could get an International player to comment on this forum… If I do.... will you shut up forever?

Ultimatum... right here right now...

otherwise we can all be fans with an opinion. I personally think Tiger is a goose, but put it out there and you can be shut up in an instant, mark my words. Both my brother in law and mrs cousin would post in a second if I asked and you would be silenced by your standards. Get off your high horse.

You man enough, or prefer to choke on your text... your call.

Sirro was surrounded by desperados trying to impress Laurie. On the rare occasion they fed him he looked OK. Let's compare 6's

Maloney ARM 51 Sirro ARM 52
Maloney AR 6 Sirro AR 7
Maloney HU 0 Sirro HU 1
Maloney KM 389 Sirro KM 101 Reynolds KM 626
Maloney MT 1 Sirro MT 0
Maloney TK 6 Sirro TK 10

ARM = All Run Metres AR= All Runs HU= Hit Ups KM = Kick Metres MT= Missed Tackles TK=Tackles. Stats from nrl.com Match Centre as at 7.32pm Adelaide time.

Apart from the kicking duties which Reynolds dominated thanks to a surfeit of ball from his Bunnies team-mate Nathan Peat, Sirro was at least as involved as his more senior and experienced opponent in Maloney, who was touted as the partner for Mitchell Pearce in SOO I.

As for the Broncos game - depends on who is fit: Sirro will be 5/8 either way.

No way Brooks is ready for first grade. He played well and is a classy nuggety 5/8 Half Back - he's still a kid folks! Please et him mature Mr Potter.

Very impressed with Santi's run in the 20's game.

Cheers Tigers!

huh?

I think you need to take a breath mate. Or at least sip some water for a bit.

If TIGER is going to make aggressive comments like " if you can't see that maybe rugby league isn't for you." then he should be prepared for questions like mine. Why don't you lay down for a bit and relax.

Actually, the above reads to me that not accepting the opinion of others is exactly what LaT took offence about in TIGER's post.

Sironen said he was not happy with his performance tonight. He is a solid 5/8 but has no good running game and that is what a 5/8 needs. If he plays in the back row with our halves being Marshall and Brooks he may get some kicking every now and then. It would be great for the team having 4 specialist kickers on the field at once. Anasta has not been doing it great from the back row but maybe Sironen can. If Sironen plays 5/8 in future then we have no choice but to lose Luke Brooks. Also anyone think Brooks coming off the bench could be a good thing for him? Subbing with Anasta?

Ok then…. tell me about your your first grade career Lat?

You definitely imply that unless you have a brilliant career peoples comments have no weight or merit. That is the finite definition of your retort. In all honestly, you put it out there.

Actually my intention was to point out TIGER's insinuation that anyone not agreeing with his opinion about a certain player, should probably stop following rugby league.

So mate you have completely and utterly misread the entire thing. Your post about calling in your Mrs and brother inlaw made zero sense. Has it been a long day in the sun?

I agree with Lat. I think it was TIGER who started that and then you come up with who your brother in law or whatever is. I couldn't care who they are.

Ahhhhh…. now I understand, it is ok for you to question someone else's Rugby League pedigree in order to vent their opinion of the squad for relevence as long you personally arent put under the same microscope. All I offered was an alternative high pedigree to back a fellow plebs opinion (no offence Tiger I think you have as much place here as myself, LAT, BM96 or anyone for that matter, even Roosterman...).

Opinions are like poop shoots, everyone has one, and unless you are personally passing gold bullion I wouldnt go slamming anothers opinion.

Thats the complete opposite of what I'm doing. I'm not sure whats got you all riled up, but its causing some massive communication issues in here.

Did not mean to start a fight like this but I would not mind having a couple of international players on this forum

Lawrence shouldn't be in the NRL side, let alone as a playmaker.

If we want to be realistic a Miller & Sironen combination is the most viable considering the Tedesco injury.

Farah does the bul of our playmaking and it would give Miller a chance to put it on the line and prove whether he is up to it. All Sironen has to do is run lines and get his passing game on point and we should be fine

Once again, the most logical post in this thread. With Benji and Braith both on the sidelines it provides an opportunity for the youngsters to show what they've got, plus they don't have Benji overriding every play and shutting them out of the game.
