Harry Triguboff hungry for success at Wests Tigers

as a supporter I am forever grateful for harry's support, no matter how big or small.

good to hear he wants to take a more active role at the club and hopefully bring his business acumen and contacts in the fold.

can someone of his wealth be giving us more? yeah sure, but would we be using it wisely? with what's been going on in recent years I can understand his reasons not to.

I don't believe half the stuff I read on here.

Are you serious to criticise a guy that puts in millions of dollars to the WT.
Basically ignore that fact and whinge that he's building a kitchen but not paying for the lunches.
Where does that thought go - Maybe he should pay for the players petrol to get to training,
grooming aids and toothpaste as well.
No wonder he has had issues with the club. I'll say it as well, ungrateful …...

Harry is obviously happy that management have changed - he has put aside his displeasure over the Rozelle Village episode. i.e. Not even being asked to tender for the project even though he was the club sponsor and the most qualified person in the country to build it. (Thanks Benny)

Now we are trying to piss him off by saying how come you didn't buy us a gym - thanks for the kitchen, but what about paying for the lunches.

We don't deserve a sponsor like Harry. I can just imagine Souths saying this to Crowe etc.

Good on you Harry, thanks for everything you are doing for the Tigers.
We really appreciate your gestures and are grateful for anything that you can help us with.

You guys - unbelievable!!!!

Another fluff piece exaggerating praise for someone who does very little from Mayer's go to man Proszenko.
The players are paying for the new food service. If Wests Tigers "biggest fan" really wanted to do something then pay for everything.
He neglects to mention that the players have to pay $50 a week for the Chef and the Lunch !
I doubt Souths or the Roosters have to pay for their lunch.

Maybe he should pay for the player's toilet paper, and wipe their backsides for them too??

Un-friggen-believable!

Who knows maybe Harry's been inspired by Russel Crowe's hands on approach and Hard Work with the Bunnies that has helped them see there 1st Premiership in 43 years .
Whatever the case maybe i'm very grateful for Harry's help and contribution , he owe's us nothing or an explanation regardless his worth .

Did I read correctly,he is in the 300 richest men in the world?
I'm sorry but uncle Harry should have dug deeper in his pockets.
I might be missing something and I have been saying this for years but if the the 3rd richest Australian is your 'biggest fan' we shouldn't be a financial mess. Thanks for the kitchen but we need more than that to fix us up

I suppose you say "is that all" on the 25th of December…

I think its a legit point.

I agree, tigerdre has a point.

Certainly Harry T puts more money into Tigers than any other person and he deserves plenty of credit for that. He also has always stood by us as a sponsor.

But he is worth 12 billion. Even if he gives us say 3 million per year (and I have no idea how much he gives), that is 3 bucks out of every $12,000 he has.

I am more impressed by the poor family who buys season tickets and goes to watch the Tigers lose in the rain.

If I had 12 billion, I would 100% buy WT and fund us up the wazoo for as long as I lived. Even at 20 million a year, without any return, it would take 50 years to spend a billion dollars. That would still leave me 11 billion for my private jet and solid gold toilet.

Agreed.

Don't forget that he is also not the owner of the club like Crowe is at souths. He has no obligation to give a cent. Nobody here will ever know how much he has actually given the club, but it probably wouldn't be enough anyway.

Do they use proper cutlery and crockery?

Do we have a commercial dishwasher?
Seriously, I need to know.

I don't know about the cutlery, but it wouldn't surprise me if a few former players end up staffing the cafeteria in a job for the boys program. In any case, better them serving lunches than working as unqualified S and C staff.

Lol - just like a soup kitchen. Maybe they have to charge the players so that it doesn't come out of our non existent salary cap. You know how it works - Inglis gets a boat, Prince gets a house, and Robbie gets a free lunch.

The only real criticism I've ever had of Harry was that he only ever seemed to show up when the team was performing in the past. The last year is the first time that I can remember that he's come out and backed the club when they've been doing it tough (coming out saying he will continue his sponsorship if no one better comes along.)

That being said, he's probably put more money into the club than all of us put together. I can't criticise him for the money and efforts he has spent on the club when he gets no value out of it with the exception of his business name on the front of the shirt. Anything he provides outside his sponsorship money is a bonus.

Finally, I have to agree with the point above that he probably would have liked to have put more money into the club, but was probably worried it would get pissed away with incompetence. The previous administrations have left us as financial deadbeats and an astute businessman like Harry would be reluctant to put any of his cash into a basket case that can't get their house in order.

I think thats the point that some people are trying to make - its more a back handed swipe at the lack of professionalism at our club compared to teams like the rorters and souffs. People perceive that souths wouldn't say this to Crowe because it is done properly in the first place.

Here here.
Bravo.

I agree with the point on relativity in terms of dollars contributed to total net worth …..... it really is a pittance. But having said that, given whats gone on over the last ten years, we're lucky he contributes anything at all. So yes, we should be grateful.

Thanks Harry….Thanks for the great contribution.

We are forced to use our salary cap money to pay for the power bills and we have to charge the players to eat and drink what we force them to eat and drink but Hey Thanks Harry for the dollars you put in...We understand it's all you can afford and we certainly don't want you going broke spending another 100k on the club.

Thanks again

What a bunch of sour fv<ks.
Anybody heard of graciousness, or being grateful for what is given?</ks.
