Harry Triguboff hungry for success at Wests Tigers

We are forced to use our salary cap money to pay for the power bills and we have to charge the players to eat and drink what we force them to eat and drink but Hey Thanks Harry for the dollars you put in...We understand it's all you can afford and we certainly don't want you going broke spending another 100k on the club.

Thanks again

Where's the kitchen you paid for Irvine? And if it is a club mandated menu, it would be a tax deduction for work related expenses.

Neck up you parrot.

Rich men don't get rich by flushing money down the toilet. With our previous assortment of dysfunctional and delusional management, why would you give them money if you knew it wouldn't be used efficiently??

If he owned the club, then yes he would/should have thrown lots more cash at the club. But he doesn't own the club. He has no control of the club whatsoever. He is not a Tinkler who has bought the club. He's just a fan like the rest of us on here, albeit one with billions in his bank account.

if he did own the club it could be his prerogative to make us play out of wherever he sees fit, and where whatever colour jerseys he likes, or various other issues. Think of what Koukash wants to do with his rugby league ventures.

He has helped us enormously by sponsoring us when literally no-one else will. In that way he is supporting the club, but not acting like a charity.

Perhaps Harry simply has more faith in the current management at the club, and the direction the club is going in, than he has in the past, and is thus more happy to chip in under the belief that his donations will be used wisely!

Or perhaps as he gets older he is becoming more philanthropic and would like to see his money bring him happiness in ways that it can't otherwise, eg Tigers winning a grand final!

That's why you'll never be rich. Your heart rules your head.

How far wide of the mark do you and spearby want to be today? I mean seriously what an inane comment.

Do you think Harry T invests his money in Tigers because it is a decision of cold hard logic? Because putting money into the club is a good investment?

He only puts money in the club only because of his heart, because of his feelings for the club. If he had no heart, he'd leave us and spend his money on building more apartments.

To say rich people don't let their heart rule their heads, what utter nonsense.

😱pen_mouth: I imagine you have the Facts and Proof to back up this claim….

On sponsorship Isn't it Meriton who sponsors the Wests Tigers..Im sure there would be tax relief for them...

Harry is now putting in his OWN hard earned to improve the facilities at the Wests Tigers....pretty sure the Club is greatful even if You aren't...

Why didn't you pay the electricity bill out of your own pocket, instead of forcing the club to dip into salary cap moneys??

You a tight arse or something Irvine?

What a load of tosh , the leaks just keep coming out of our Club 😱pen_mouth: . Get ready guys the Telecrap will be reporting in tomorrow's Papers that we use our Salary Cap money to pay for our Electricity .
What explanation does he owe you ?

However, he would like to see Balmain play an active role in the joint venture.

"I give them money now and hope I help them with other things. We'll see if the money is spent where I want it," he said.

Just copying a bit from Harry's article, so does this mean he has paid the Balmain debt or he will to ensure that Balmain does have an active role in the JV ?

Any thoughts on this guys ?

Possibly one of the most idiotic posts on this forum. Seriously… The guy is paying for a kitchen and a chef and you whinge about power bills?

No I whinged about the club not using all allocated salary cap money for players wages.

Not as idiotic as abusing players one week and loving them the next.
What does "neck up" mean is that a saying bogans resort too ?

As far as our friend Harry goes lets just wait and see who and what he pays for.
I know… I know.... it's in the newspaper so it must all be true.

lol….Don't believe what's printed in the papers,,,,Yet believe without a shred of proof mind you that the Club is not using Salary Cap allocation on Players...

When both Mayer and Taylor have reported in press and interviews that we do.....You're funny

Neck up means pull your head in and stop behaving like a twat, I can deliver it to you in the Queen's English as well if you still don't comprehend.

If you're not happy with Harry's contribution put your hand in your pocket and have a go.

Sounds like you're having a sook about Harry's contribution here, with one line about the salary cap as a catalyst to have a shot at him. You never let anything get in the way of having a go at someone if it doesn't suit your agenda. I'm actually surprised you didn't manage to slide a jibe in at Mayer while you were at it.

Carry on.

Pretty sure harry's said before he gets zero benefit from being major sponsor of the tigers since his target market for Meriton is Chinese investors/buyers of his apartments.

Despite this, as major sponsor, he'd put in millions every year into the club. Without him, I wonder if we'd even be solvent right now

Let me get this right…
Harry T has only recently put up sponsorship for WTs to the value of about 700,000 dollars,he has offered to pay for a kitchen as well.

Over the years he has spent MILLIONS on Balmain and then to WTs because he wanted to help and is a passionate supporter...

Now there are some on this forum critising his good hearted efforts and demand he do more, these sort of people are UNGRATEFUL and should hang their heads in shame, please afford Harry the respect and courtesy he thoroughly deserves....

The last post in this thread has been deleted…..

Please think before you post....

So I assume the few that are moaning about how much money Harry tips in are paid up members. Na they probably have some sort of weak "I wont pay unless they are winning" type excuse.

I remember a guy who threw money at an NRL club and other sporting ventures without due care. I think his name is Tinkler and he has no money left. Not to mention that Harry doesn't even OWN the club, nor does he necessarily get to decide what the club does with the money he does give.

Irvine, while i agree with most of what you say I don't agree with your comments above unless you are in the finance department of the club and if that is so you should keep your comments to yourself.
I agree with most posters on here in that without the contribution of Harry over years from 1997, this club would of been long gone. He doesn't have to spend his money with the Tigers but he does.
Building a kitchen and hiring a chef is a great way forward and one that most clubs do not have. This is just bringing the professionalism this clubs needs to another level.
I also agree with what he is saying in regards to redeveloping Concord and act as our home ground. Maybe purchase the St Luke's field and build the centre of excellence across the road while upgrading the stadium to make it fit for purpose.
