Rich men don't get rich by flushing money down the toilet. With our previous assortment of dysfunctional and delusional management, why would you give them money if you knew it wouldn't be used efficiently??
If he owned the club, then yes he would/should have thrown lots more cash at the club. But he doesn't own the club. He has no control of the club whatsoever. He is not a Tinkler who has bought the club. He's just a fan like the rest of us on here, albeit one with billions in his bank account.
if he did own the club it could be his prerogative to make us play out of wherever he sees fit, and where whatever colour jerseys he likes, or various other issues. Think of what Koukash wants to do with his rugby league ventures.
He has helped us enormously by sponsoring us when literally no-one else will. In that way he is supporting the club, but not acting like a charity.
Perhaps Harry simply has more faith in the current management at the club, and the direction the club is going in, than he has in the past, and is thus more happy to chip in under the belief that his donations will be used wisely!
Or perhaps as he gets older he is becoming more philanthropic and would like to see his money bring him happiness in ways that it can't otherwise, eg Tigers winning a grand final!
