Tigers would not touch him with a 20 foot pole and rightly show. He might and that’s a big might, finds some long lost form and is probably better than most of our outside backs we have at present, but he is not the player we want moving forward

He scored 10 tries in 15 games for a team that won the wooden spoon. That's more than anyone in our team. He also had more tackle breaks than anyone in our team with the exception of Nofoaluma (77 vs 71). He was really good late in the season.

Hating him for who he is is absolutely fine, but he literally moonwalks into our backline. It's no secret we lack spark in our backline and he **adds spark** whilst solving our centre issue quite nicely. **For the right price** I think he'd improve our team materially.

Adds spark when he feels like it. For the right price = match and incentive payments only.
**Best we aim higher**, for someone that knows what a team is.

Who do you suggest that's better than he?

I would rather save our money and even wait for some of our younger players to come through and invest in other new NRL players without the baggage. We also have speed and talent to burn I understand with our 20s 2019 squad with some 'unknowns' who could develop nicely.

Might be a slow burn for now but will reap dividends in the short to medium term and we can get better value from other NRL players as we build towards a premiership.

No more slow burning. Let's get out the blowtorch and make stuff happen.

I get the guy comes across as a knob head, but even on a mediocre day he is better than most of the blokes in our backline.

If Coach Madge thinks he is worth a punt, then i'd welcome it.

Otherwise its nothing to lose sleep over.

I see Pascoe's statement saying **"Hey we have money $$$"** rather than **"Hey we want Jarrod"**

Dog whistling to unscrupulous player managers who want some more cash for their clients (well themselves really)…

Better is qualitative. To me, better means someone who knows how to play for and not just with a team. It appears to me that Hayne uses teams as platforms to showcase his skills, not necessarily using his skills for the betterment of teams. Hayne is a great player when he wants to put in, so match and incentive payments would be perfect. I can't see him accepting that though.

If he comes - It HAS to be for Fullback. I don't think he's worth the money if you remotely consider playing him elsewhere.

Remembering Mbye has a lot of experience playing in the Halves.

I would be going 1\. Hayne 6\. Mbye 7\. Brooks 9\. Farah - 14\. Reynolds

Why does everyone push the Fullback? You have wingers like Addo-carr who score every time they are near the line.
Ingles and Hayne were most deadly on the wing, both are

I wish we could swap Hayne for Mbye. I just keep looking at Mbye thinking why did we do it.
Cmon we had the dogs, we should have pushed for Hopoate. LAST thing we need is Mbye in the halves to re-create the winning spoon combo of Reynolds and Mbye…

But, for my money. Hayne on the wing unless moving him to Fullback pushes Mbye to the bench (IMHO his best spot).

Yes, for the right price he would be awesome. He is though doing it to get good coin out of Parra, he won't come here unless he gets a really sweet deal…. Aka wrong money.

We need a back. We seem to have:
Nofo
Marsters
Mbye
Fonua?
Thompson.

We definitely need a Utility back. Last year we used 3 reserves in the backs and had to use them. We really were winning early in the season when we plugged our defensive gaps and Nofo/Fonua/mbye are the biggest ?'s Then again Nofo is good at going over the line and hopefully McGuire can bring something out of Fonua.

Otherwise would be glad to play Thompson out of position in the Centers (or move Mbye there) and Hayne on our wing.

Why is he not included?

Why is everyone not wanting Mbye at fb???
He was great for us last year and will be for many years to come

He's an untested, fringe first grader and we have too many fringe players already. As a depth player and future first grader, absolutely, but we don't have the depth currently to experiment with a rookie imo.

Mbye has the skills and the desire.

Hayne is exactly what people say about him. I have met him many times through friends.

Great individual player back in his day

Do not move Mbye. He is quality back there.

Hayne to wing or centre. He slots in there beautifully.
Not sure why everyone keeps downplaying the importance of dynamic centres and wingers. Hayne only has to rekindle a fraction of his form to be a match-winner.

Avocado said earlier that Hayne moonwalks into our backline. That's an understatement - first he moonwalks, then he grabs his crotch and then he lets out a big Shamone!!

Yeah, until he realises it’s not all about him and then he’s gone. He has no consistency and is not a team player. No thanks, he’s no Cronk. No premiership for Hayne.

Id get hayne in a heart beat. Do you see his last half a dozen games last year? There best by a mile.

He would add pace and size to our backline.

Yes I saw his games when he was looking for a contract. Dont be fooled this guy is a cancer that we dont need!

Dudes once you're talking 750-1 mil for Jayne, that's serious dosh. Why not offer it to a player who isn't an egomaniacal bludger?

Don't ask me who…Take your pick. That would buy over half of the players in the current origin squads.

His manager has stated he wants to play at the RWC next year for fiji and looking for a super15 contract next year in nz. That's what is reported over here. No team wants him. Guy is a joke.
