HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

I hope we cant field a team. That would be great. I honestly want the club to go so underground so it exposes all the issues and we rebuild with everyone aligned.

Dont buy merch, dont go to games.

Let them play like its COVID.
Agree Tito. Burn the place down.

Hope Richo has another card to play. The man has connections and I don't think he takes this lying down.

How the F can the N.R.L or commission not do anything and just continue to watch the 💩show roll on. At what point do they start to think, you know what maybe the guys who own the joint are totally clueless. I was very positive Vlandys would intervene and appoint an N.R.L administrator. Instead the big bad tough Vlandys did sweet F all. Absolute joke. Make no mistake the Wests Tigers are currently as of Richardson walking out at the lowest most hopeless point in our history. But it's going to get better, Mestrov is coming to save the day apparently so we can go back to the future by getting bent over by his mate Isaac Moses again. The N.R.L, commission, Abdo and Velandys can all go and get themselves f'd. Hope HBG are happy they'll all get they're free tickets to the games while we are anchored to the bottom of the ladder, at our expense as fans. The fact that Vlandys and Abdo allow it to happen shows how useless the governing body is. But the main thing is we have a game where no one gets called a monkey. Clowns. I'm livid.
Do the NRL have any power to act in this case?
I don't want this post to come across pro HBG in any way simply asking the question.
The NRL didn't appoint the 'independent' board, HBG did. They did so to manage their interests. If they aren't happy they have every right to move that board on.

I believe when the NRL has stepped in in the past is only when clubs have gone into voluntary administration due to not meeting their financial commitments. This is not the case here. So, do the NRL actually have any power to intervene?

I'm surprised the Daily Tele hasn't published a story yet. Usually if the rival masthead SMH publishes a big story, they are quick to do the same. Can only hope Brent Read has an exclusive & positive story!

Richo would be holding his cards very close to his chest rn, if anything positive is gonna come out it’ll be from PVD’s actions leading to richos return

Agree. HBG get away with it. IMO The only way NRL step in is when the reputational damage starts to effect the brand. We aren't there yet. Maybe empty stadiums, player and sponsor walkouts would move things along a bit?

This is satire, right?

And, just so you know, I wasn't the mod who put you on a 48hr ban. Please stop implying that I have some vendetta against you. Please stop following my posts. Honestly, it's weird.
Yeh, I suppose the 1st couple of paragraphs are satire, but only in the sense of using humour which has a slightly sharp edge to it.
And I am really pleased that you weren't the Mod. who put me on another 48-hour ban.
I have a slight suspicion about who that may be and why, and I feel it's very unfair.

Now, my apology to you re a vendetta.

I can certainly understand why you feel it's weird on my part.
I definitely wasn't looking for one of your posts for an opportunity to reply in any sort of nefarious way, and you'll have to forgive for being a bit delinquent in the grey matter area, and that's not just a case of rapidly advancing years by the way, I've been that way since I was 1 day old 😱...but I don't understand what you mean by please stop following my posts.
I just happened to be scrolling through posts trying to catch up after spending the prev. 2 days in the bin when I noticed your post and realised it was one that had a subject I wanted to reply to, and I would have replied even if it was a post by tom, dick or harry.
None of the post was directed at you personally but I can understand why you thought it appeared as if it was.

Now to the bit about asking a question on behalf of a friend...he was definitely using hard edged satire.

I know all you Mods. must be tremendously weary from the time you are giving from the goodness of your heart, to handle what must be an absolute avalanche of posts, so please enjoy having a big frothy schooner when things settle down.
And just in case I am suspended again, I had better take this opportunity to wish everyone....a🎄very🤶happy🎄Christmas🎅.

As sad as this situation has become, if you’re playing pokies at Ashfield or buying a membership then you’re part of the problem. It’s such a shame that good people have to do this stuff to get some action Joel.
Unless someone goes full "the whitlams" those pokies will continue to be played. Don't think the clientele know or care who Benji Marshall is unfortunately

Yeah even then, if HBG are paying their bills I still expect nothing from the NRL.

I think where change could/needs to be made is at board level of HBG. It's seems the current HBG is the problem. But those board members aren't the actual owners, they are elected/appointed to the board. Empty stadiums/loss of sponsorship etc might see members to vote for change on the HBG board. Then we can only hope their replacements have an idea.
