HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

How the F can the N.R.L or commission not do anything and just continue to watch the đź’©show roll on. At what point do they start to think, you know what maybe the guys who own the joint are totally clueless. I was very positive Vlandys would intervene and appoint an N.R.L administrator. Instead the big bad tough Vlandys did sweet F all. Absolute joke. Make no mistake the Wests Tigers are currently as of Richardson walking out at the lowest most hopeless point in our history. But it's going to get better, Mestrov is coming to save the day apparently so we can go back to the future by getting bent over by his mate Isaac Moses again. The N.R.L, commission, Abdo and Velandys can all go and get themselves f'd. Hope HBG are happy they'll all get they're free tickets to the games while we are anchored to the bottom of the ladder, at our expense as fans. The fact that Vlandys and Abdo allow it to happen shows how useless the governing body is. But the main thing is we have a game where no one gets called a monkey. Clowns. I'm livid.

Mate that is my exact point and I completely agree with the points you make.

The board members at HBG and the HGB reps on the Wests Tigers act on their own personal interest which is to use the club as a means to re-live the glory days and for status.

When they can’t exert control over either they throw their toys out of the cot, backstab anyone with competence because they don’t want to be personally shown up, and create chaos in the media that reflects poorly on both HBG and the Wests Tigers.

The [This word has been automatically removed]ed thing is they don’t care because their selfishness and delusion doesn’t allow them to see the destruction their actions cause. Because to them it’s about extraction. It’s about what they can gain personally from this scenario and their insatiable appetite to stroke their own ego.

That’s what I mean by self-interest. We need a club first mentality and that has never been the case at the Wests Tigers (albeit for a brief period under the independent board and Richo).

Don’t mean to sound combative towards you too because I completely agree with everything you just said.

He has been the classic faceless man, playing the back room for all the years he has been involved in this. He's been smart in laying low, allowing anyone who craved the public profile to step forward and take the heat.

Wests Tigers supporters need to know who it is tearing up their football club. For as long as he has any influence in affecting the direction of Wests Tigers, the place will be a shit show.

This has set the club back to 2021 again. We all know what happened since then. It will not improve unless he, his WA board allies, and anyone he has appointed as a debenture holder recently, is gone.

Or the NRL steps in to remove this incompetence. They can't sit by, while an insular ownership group who are at odds with the bulk of the supporter base guide the club into the oblivion.

Unless, they are keen to welcome in a South Island NZ team out of the ashes of this club.

I imagine they are not self-aware enough to realise this. The laughing that must go on behind these clowns backs in Rugby League world.

Do the NRL have any power to act in this case?
I don't want this post to come across pro HBG in any way simply asking the question.
The NRL didn't appoint the 'independent' board, HBG did. They did so to manage their interests. If they aren't happy they have every right to move that board on.

I believe when the NRL has stepped in in the past is only when clubs have gone into voluntary administration due to not meeting their financial commitments. This is not the case here. So, do the NRL actually have any power to intervene?
 
I'm surprised the Daily Tele hasn't published a story yet. Usually if the rival masthead SMH publishes a big story, they are quick to do the same. Can only hope Brent Read has an exclusive & positive story!
