agree , no need to extend him further just yet- and i love the dudeBenji has until the end of 2027. That’s sufficient right now.
The extension would appear to me to be damage control as he’s popular among fans.

I don't know. But it will not work 100%. We have half a board from an organisation that tried to punt the other half of our board. How can they work togeather. After what HBG did do you honestly think they will work with these independants. Also Burgess and Epifana are as guilty as sin for all this mess why wernt they forced tobe replaced with other members from HBG. If HBG are honest then they failed in their responsibilities. If HBG lied we have half a boardroom filled with people who tried to take over the joint. It can't work half way. We either have a boardroom full of HBG people which I hope never happens, or we go totally 100% independant. Trying this 50/50 garbage won't work. Half are worried about HBG concerns, half are worried about Wests Tigers concerns. We need at least another 3 independant directors to dilute HBG votes and stop independants forming voting blocks. As is the club is now in HBG control. If another independant is brought in to replace Viola then the boardroom may be in a constant stalemate if everyone just votes with their block. N.R.L should have appointed an administrator and sold the club to another entity, perhaps Wests Macarthur or Laundys bid, there would have been heaps of interest. This'll blow up again in 18 months to2 years when the independants start walking away cause theyre sick of dealing with the HBG clowns.Do you believe BOF and the other 2 independent board members would agree to be reinstated tj a board in which they have no say in any future decision making ?
I only ask because I find that to be unbelievable.
We’re yet to hear from him whether Benji actually wants an extension either.agree , no need to extend him further just yet- and i love the dude
Doesn't want to deal with the drama.🤷♂️Good question
so whatWe’re yet to hear from him whether Benji actually wants an extension either.
Probably sick of banging his head against a black and white brick wall.Viola isn't. Why isn't he coming back.
I understand that, I’m just of the belief that if PVL believes this is the best way forward they will essentially have control of 90% of the NRL licence but, will have strict guidelines in regards to any decisions made and will be at the scrutiny of BOF and the other 2 independent board members. And what had the HBG done to earn our trust. I have no trust for that group of people. There is no accountability for their actions.
My suggestion is it was just trying to put some good news out to fans in a diabolical week.so what
Honestly, I think PVL thought this would appease the fans. That this would be enough to stop the Rally.I understand that, I’m just of the belief that if PVL believes this is the best way forward they will essentially have control of 90% of the NRL licence but, will have strict guidelines in regards to any decisions made and will be at the scrutiny of BOF and the other 2 independent board members.
It makes no sense to me why they would agree to return unless the odds are heavily in their favour, regardless of the board room numbers.
If it blows up again they will lose the NRL licence, I thought PVL’s statement made that quite clear.I don't know. But it will not work 100%. We have half a board from an organisation that tried to punt the other half of our board. How can they work togeather. After what HBG did do you honestly think they will work with these independants. It’s the gap between blowing up and success that concerns me. That mediocrity in our walls that has been there for decades. Richo showed glimpses of turning that around. If it blows up again they will lose the NRL licence, I thought PVL’s statement made that quite clear.
Not quite yet.Chammas said 48 hours ago said it was all over and HBG had won
I don't know mate, I just figure if the N.R.L had a real appetite to take the license they would have. They might follow through but I would have thought that if the N R.L were as concerned as they make out to be they would have done something to dilute the HBG boardroom influence, they may be on a really tight leash, but I just fail to see how the N.R.L has done anything other than reward poor behaviour by giving HBG a majority say in a boardroom that is supposed to be independant. If it blows up again they will lose the NRL licence, I thought PVL’s statement made that quite clear.
Many reports that the board has on the table a 2029 extension and are strongly considering it.Benji has until the end of 2027. That’s sufficient right now.

Both sides feed the media, I’m very careful about which reports to believe. Many reports that the board has on the table a 2029 extension and are strongly considering it.
Look don't get me wrong, he deserves-ish 2026, He has till 2027 to prove something.
I am not sold on 2028 and suddenly were talking an extension till 2029!
Too much too soon.
What about BOF and the 2 other independent board members.I don't know mate, I just figure if the N.R.L had a real appetite to take the license they would have. You’re asking them to predict the future though. What about BOF and the 2 other independent board members.
Do you have a theory on why they have agreed to come back if they are just going to be outvoted on every decision ?
I am not asking them to predict anything, they have supposedly agreed to come back. You’re asking them to predict the future though.
Maybe they’re happy to wait and see.
Plenty of us aren’t.
Maybe they are not sure how HBG noms will vote. None of us are really.I am not asking them to predict anything, they have supposedly agreed to come back.
To suggest they agreed to be reinstated to a board in which they will always be outvoted and have no say, is questioning their intelligence.
so what
mentions of Brad Arther ,7 players stating they will walk . Coach offered an extensionMy suggestion is it was just trying to put some good news out to fans in a diabolical week.
