HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

N.R.L should have appointed an administrator and sold the club to another entity, perhaps Wests Macarthur or Laundys bid, there would have been heaps of interest. This'll blow up again in 18 months to2 years when the independants start walking away cause theyre sick of dealing with the HBG clowns.

If it blows up again they will lose the NRL licence, I thought PVL’s statement made that quite clear.

Not quite yet.

HBG have won 5 seats on the board. But the independents are back. I think all 4 of them will sit and dignify themselves with a year or two. ... on a board they will probably be over-rulled by.

HBG havent though faced US, the fans. We want some damn answers over this mess and Denis Burgess can answer to us.


WE need a good showing so that HBG will actually think twice before doing anything this stupid again.

I don't know mate, I just figure if the N.R.L had a real appetite to take the license they would have. They might follow through but I would have thought that if the N R.L were as concerned as they make out to be they would have done something to dilute the HBG boardroom influence, they may be on a really tight leash, but I just fail to see how the N.R.L has done anything other than reward poor behaviour by giving HBG a majority say in a boardroom that is supposed to be independant.

Many reports that the board has on the table a 2029 extension and are strongly considering it.

Look don't get me wrong, he deserves-ish 2026, He has till 2027 to prove something.
I am not sold on 2028 and suddenly were talking an extension till 2029!

Too much too soon.

What about BOF and the 2 other independent board members.
Do you have a theory on why they have agreed to come back if they are just going to be outvoted on every decision ?

I am not asking them to predict anything, they have supposedly agreed to come back.
To suggest they agreed to be reinstated to a board in which they will always be outvoted and have no say, is questioning their intelligence.

Maybe they are not sure how HBG noms will vote. None of us are really.

But our suspicions and HBG’ history is the reason we call BS.

Like I said earlier, if I think a mobile car is heading towards my young kid, I ain’t waitin’

it proves they care for the club , and just maybe, be in the know of some back room machinations

They probably see bigger changes on the horizon and are up for the challenge
Who wants a boring job.
 
Board members and Chairmen are being removed and added like it's the last round of a wooden spoon bowl and they're deciding on the 18th man of the Jersey Flegg game.
