At least the members have the voting rights to oust them though. We have no such means.I really dislike member voted boards for that reason.

I prefer a board appointed professionally against a skills matrix with a mechanism for change if needed. At least the members have the voting rights to oust them though. We have no such means.
Jolls.posted it somewhere....i think his ceo meeting threadSo does anyone know how much HBG put into wests tigers last year? Funding seems to be a big issue now, surely those who claim its too low would know the current figure.
Hmmm, not sure looking at the balance sheet tells the whole story. Like I'd rather see 1 million spent under Richo than 5 million spent under Pascoe. Extra money with the wrong person in charge just gets invested into barber shops and too many Scott Fultons getting 250k and leaking about Aidan Sezer. Steve Noyce was better for us as CEO because he understood grassroots footy clubs, far better than super corporate Stephen Humphries who ruined our salary cap and couldn't lie straight in bed.
Same with amount of people at a club. Any more than 4 opinions in a meeting, they start to take...
I do from time to time. I along with anyone else admitting to also being a Magpies member were blocked from Kelly Hollis group.
She likes her views to be fully supported. When you don't agree with her, she removes you.
Rather like this childish petition to the board, that's a stench of dictatorship
Do u have a link for info about barnier would be helpfulSo you agree that a fully functional leagues club should have it's elected board removed and removed with a non elected board?
Ever considered a move to North Korea?
And please explain why you think Barnier is a suitable candidate? Please can you explain his resignation as CEO of Opal Group?
Last year hasn't been released yet.So does anyone know how much HBG put into wests tigers last year? Funding seems to be a big issue now, surely those who claim its too low would know the current figure.
Cheers Ink. I missed that.Jolls.posted it somewhere....i think his ceo meeting thread
Edit $1.8m

Barely covers the salary of 2 players.Cheers Ink. I missed that.
So $1.8 million isn't a small amount, less than some clubs but probably more than others.
If a club can't make a go of it when they get close to $20mill in grants from its owners and governing body the maybe the board / management arnt up to scratch. I'd be suggesting that to PVL when asked why the board was removed.
Now this isn't me backing HBG's group actions but it's another angle to look at things.
No, the NRL grant cover the players salaries.Barely covers the salary of 2 players.
NRL and the Wests Tigers provide the majority of funds to the Wests Tigers.
Sponsorship, merch, ticketing all far outstrip the owners contribution. No, the NRL grant cover the players salaries.
I'd say $1.8 million would cover quite a bit of operational costs and would be most welcome.
That doesn't diminish the amount. $20mill in grants should be enough to run the club before they even have to lift a finger in raising funds themselves.Sponsorship, merch, ticketing all far outstrip the owners contribution.
The player salary comparison was an indication of how much they are contributing.
In a statement to News Corp, a spokesperson said that “exhaustive investigations have found no wrongdoing by Mr Barnier"
The above statement is always forgotten by the guys throwing rocks.
I'd agree if others weren't starting at $25-30m. If $1.7m is significant, so is being behind $5m.That doesn't diminish the amount. $20mill in grants should be enough to run the club before they even have to lift a finger in raising funds themselves.
I think this funding issue is just like 'they're brining back the magpies' and. ' we won't have a club in a couple of years'.
What did you call it? A distraction tactic?
The real issue is how they run the club and that should be the focus.
This is why the other day I was asking for a list of what other owners put in? You seem to know what every other club gets. Let's get the comparisons up.I'd agree if others weren't starting at $25-30m. If $1.7m is significant, so is being behind $5m.
I have the feeling that Darcy Byrne will attempt to set off a bomb right before our first game.Whilst a few self interested types are bleating to this empty thread from their shakey podcast pulpit, the squad continues to prepare for our round 2 start.
I’m interested to watch the narrative of this thread change as we progress into the season.…especially if this years squad are as successful as I’m predicting they will be.
I’m hoping we will be very successful this year , top 8 for me , BUT it will have nothing to do with HBG , this year after what happened in December is on the team and coaches , not even our new interim CEO will have impact on this team , We were a complete unit in November led by Richo and the independent board , coaches , sponsors , medical the lot then along come HBG and blew it up , it took the CEO of the NRL to sort it out and lay down the law , even good old Dennis couldn’t hold his spot due to some very poor leadership from HBG , top 8: hear we come , thanks PVL for helping outWhilst a few self interested types are bleating to this empty thread from their shakey podcast pulpit, the squad continues to prepare for our round 2 start.

Wouldn’t surprise me.I have the feeling that Darcy Byrne will attempt to set off a bomb right before our first game.
