HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

haha. Great stuff and agree. That is true if the board is big enough. I think with 3 seats to fill, it's really more of a deprioritization given how much we needed to boost revenue. Also, most of the IT I see coming out seems to be coordinated at the NRL level - maybe it's quite different behind the scenes with the OT. Especially the sports science tech.

Now, if we could just open up those Balmain and HBG club seats........
When they interviewed the CEO of Dominos pizza Don Meij a decade ago he called his business an IT company. Sort of makes sense, when everyone is providing a similar product, what is your differentiator, what can give you a competitive advantage.

For beer money I have a Diggermate Franchise - tight access earthmoving equipment. The head dude is a marketing specialist - he calls it a marketing company for diggers. He is spot on though - I service the machines and occasionally dig holes and he finds the clients. My job is to keep them once they're in the sales funnel. Works well.

Bad faith actor,

Haven't heard that before.
Not a bad description.
Yep it describes people who enter debates just to undermine and gotcha, with no real intention of progressing the debate or finding common ground. Usually with the intention of derailing and ultimately shifting the narrative . -Acting in bad faith towards the debate .

It’s literally what’s happening now , only the NRL club can sustain itself . I’ve said it before but wests tigers are Tottenham Hotspurs of the nrl. The ownership group run the club to stay afloat . They have no interest in the club being at the top of the food chain . That means more overheads and more pressure on them to sustain it .
How misguided and manipulated are some , to be coerced into advocating for the status quo , because of a made up existential crisis , rather than the truth that it’s simply inept corporate governance that people want out . Not the brand in which they work for .

Just something I've never heard before.
Rate that, adding it to the memory bank.

"Could someone list their past achievements? Just to be fair and objective to HBG leadership and stewardship."

By no means a comprehensive list but-
Centre of Excellence
Highest membership numbers (take your pick what year)
Club running at a profit (again- take your pick- was reported under Pascoe & Richardson)
Wests Tigers Empower
"Development Club" progressions- Bula, Lualili'i, Sukkar, Heyward, Godinet, Makasini, Mason, Pole etc

Hilarious.

Biggest paying Membership base under Richo was while board was independent.

Profit? Biggest profit while board was independent. Last year.

Centre of Excellence? Pascoe as well as lobbying by O'Farrel and Marina Go secured the funding. HBG didn't pay for that nor did any of their board members have anything to do with lobbying.

Empower...started in June 2024. We had an independent board in January 2024.

Development? Are you crediting the HBG board controlled era for Makasini and the rest? Really?

Every single example you've given is while they weren't involved.
