Heamasi Makasini

He’s shown he is ready for NrL and will be a mainstay of our team hopefully for the foreseeable future. I think he should be selected this coming week, coming off the bench.
I dont see howm you can say hes ready for NRL when he hasnt played yet....its a huge step up and we dont need to rush him.
I think Bula.may be back.in this week...douehi touched on all the positional changes and how clunky we were.
Chucking a raw center on the bench against the premiers isnt a smart move imo

Seems like Skeltons expendable for many.....hes been great for us, folded oppositions in half the las three of four weeks, scoring tries
The Taylan May and Jeral Skelton combination looks like it could be a good one, but unless To’a starts firing, it might be in our best interests to debut Makasini this season.
If thatt happens we would not be moving Taylan from the left centre position he excels in, so I was just thinking out loud that Makasini could debut on the left wing which would possibly mean moving Skelton to the right as a winger or maybe even right centre.
If To’a comes good and everyone stays fit to play, Makasini’s debut would then likely be delayed until next year.

Benji won’t hesitate to pick this kid. Comes down to injuries if all players fit he will get a few games at the back end of the season. First injury he’s ready to go.

Hes already hanging around the team pre and post match and in full training. If anyone knows about kids playing very young it’s BQM. His NsW cup games clearly show he’s ready .

Lots of big calls to be made if/when this kid comes through as expected.

Hard to leave out Toa/Skelton when fit. Both playing injured at the moment so it’s easy to forget how effective those two can be.

Someone’s gonna get upset and leave in the end, ofc

We need depth if the kid comes through as expected one of Skelton or Toa is your backup. That’s how strong sides are built. He has to earn his position beating out NRL starters which is also positive.

In an ideal world, sure - would love to have Skelton and To'a casually called up when we're depleted.

But they ain't sticking around to do that.

I'm surprised Staines is still around, he has been a great reserve (apart from the last game).

I do get a chuckle about all this.
Wests fans are so desperate for a win-fix they’ll tip the crèche out in search of a new messiah.
Compare it to a club like Melbourne and how slowly they brought young tyro Jack Howarth through their system. When he finally hit the NRL he was already performing like a seasoned pro.
I’d leave Makasini in NSW Cup for the remainder of the season.

110% B2T let the kid develop and gain more experiences and would let him play Flegg next season as well before pushing into the first team.

I think the key is to give them a go here and there but not leave them in even if they go well.
