I think Benji is genuine about this. We are in a much different position to where we have been in the past two seasons where Benji was bringing the kids in to test out our roster depth.
I reckon he will hold off on debuting Maki at this stage though I have a sneaky he might give him a run vs the Raiders or Titans. Probably all depends how serious To’a’s injury is.

Titans would be good plus a trip to the Gold Coast and team bonding at 3am Sunday morning in a strip bar sitting next to the May boys talking about life mistakes very educational for the young Man

He needs to play this year feel the speed and physical side of playing first grade will put him in good stead for the off season even if it's just 20 minutes it will help him a great deal

It sounds good in theory, but that hasn't worked in the past. If anything, it can reduce the hunger leading into next year to make 1st grade.

I agree with the above, we tend to rush players, and most times it hasn't worked.... I hope he doesn't play first grade this year, I hope he plays the last 3 KOE games unscaved with a full pre-season and actually earn his spot. He is already getting the physicality from KOE the difference is the nrl is a much faster game.

Regardless of if he debuts this year the club should push him to complete his hsc best of his ability.

If your good enough your old enough. Remember Tim Brasher and Chris Lawrence. Also he would not be walking into a busted team. Although, while there is a very slight chance of a top eight finish I guess you keep doing what is working.

Is the rose colour in your glasses starting to wear off?
Yeah it would be nice to finish the year off with some consistency and W’s of course. Anything less than 2/3 of the last games will be disappointing, and will show a lack of improvement, especially when it comes to the resilience and standards one needs to have when playing for nothing more than a W on paper.
But it’s that resilience, and high standards you need when the chips are down in games. The more you do the tuff stuff the easier it gets.

Yeah Naden’s in the 20, and Mapalangi so I reckon he’s got the cover. But it tells me Benji might wait till next season to debut Mak. Ya not gunna send him out against the raiders, they be playing like fkn Vikings. So why waste him in the last. Let him have the rest of the season with the team, a break, then into a full offseason and debut round one if he is ready. Otherwise, still no rush, even if he starts next year in cup.
