Here's Your Chance Campbelltown

Something about footy after Origins too historically the crowds are often poor…..and this weekend across the board is no exception.

**Crowd average Round 12: 12,784**

Personally I think that is clutching at straws a bit. Everything was in place for 18K today. Whatever the club is doing, the need to do more. WHat sort of crowds are going to turn up for our night games there when you can only draw 13K on a perfect Sunday?

Im a gold season ticket holder. travlled from Rozelle today. poor crowd. wish a few more would put in the effort, whether you live in Leumeah or Leichhardt.

The ticket prices are obscene. I'm a season ticket holder but took my parents along aswell today. I can not believe that the ga tickets are $30 each, that is terrible.

Not cheap mate …. Ask a single income family renting in the region.
I agree the club should do a bit more research on its fans in it's south west heartland.

If my parents had not have travelled down with me today, I think they would have turned around and went home when they saw the ticket prices. Luckily dad let me put $5 on moltz as 1st try scorer for him. Made his money back.

Prices are a joke. What's wrong with say $15.00 GA for adults and $5.00 for kids.

I don't think the crowd was as bad as everyone is making out. I'll admit I would liked to have seen another couple of thousand show up but we have to remember the Cowboys are an out of state team and never pull a large crowd.
Last week at LO against the Warriors there was a crowd of 16000 thousand. I would inagine there would have been 2-3000 Warriors fans there.
The Penrith V Manly game today only pulled 11000 fans as well and that's 2 Sydney teams.
As I said a bit disappointing but overall to be expected versing a Townsville team.

Have to say the atmosphere out there today was fantastic.

It was great wasn't it, really enjoyed the game and the crowd

me its nothing to do with a merger bash, the best thing that ever happened to the club was the merger because both sides would be dead if it was not for the merger and being a Balmain boy Wests are the only team I would have done a deal with.

Anyway All Iam saying some serious research has to be done to find out what the people of South Western Sydney want and what the Wests Tigers have to do to pack the place, because really say what you like The South West is our future

Going to campbelltown today firstly i was aliitle disappointed in the crowd and secondly we need to merge all teams to be known as the wests tigers.
I still cannot understand why we have a magpie mascot and merchandise stand at a wests tigers game. Even at leichhardt no balmain merchandise should be sold.
We are one club. forget balmain forget wests magpies we are one. campbelltown and leichhardt juniors should have a clear path to the wests tigers not first magpies then wests tigers.
And please dont back to me their was a magpie game cause you guys know what im saying.

I travelled from South of Wollongong. Gotta say I was disappointed in the numbers, but not the atmosphere.

No idea why more people weren't there, it was a great day. Even the sky divers were great to watch.

My only complaint is the PA system there is almost as bad as the SFS, couldnt hear a thing. Interestingly, on my travel home, I saw around 30-40 cars with Tigers stickers making the trip home south too…

Anyway, now I try to get the wifes permission to travel to Canberra next weekend !

Something's clearly wrong with the style of marketing used to connect with and attract the people of the MacArthur region to their home games. Clinics, Gala Days, School Visits, Mall appearances, Junior Footy involvement, competitions through the media and complimentary tickets to all registered juniors. How many of these initiatives are in place? $30 for a GA ticket seems unreasonably steep, makes it an expensive afternoon for a parent and a couple of kids.

What makes you say that Eddie,
we played the Warriors at LO last week and didn't pack it out and I dare say there are more Warriors fans in Sydney than Cowboys.

Couldn't agree more …. Looks completely out of place having a Magpies merchandise stand out there.
It's almost like they are trying to make a rebellious statement.

Why does it look completely out of place? I'm an old Magpies fan and get along to all our home grounds. If I saw a Balmain merchandise outlet at whatever ground I wouldn't look twice. We all know the WESTS TIGERS are our team now but there's no harm in Wests/Balmain gear being sold. Your call about it being rebellious is ridiculous!

I was very disappointed by the crowd. My only reason are:

1\. Channel 9 game. Would have been a bigger crowd if it was only on Foxtel
2\. Out of Sydney team, very few travelling fans.
3\. Something else was on. When I arrived at 2:15 where we usually park was chock a block, cars EVERYWHERE, alot more than I've ever seen at Campo. so I was really expecting high numbers in the stadium but not to be, so I can only assume something else was producing that kind of traffic.

I went today (as I always do) and the crowd was simply disgraceful.

Great weather, Sunday afternoon, Tigers coming off 4 straight wins, playing a very good team, Internationals all over the park. To get 13,000 there is a joke, there is simply no good enough excuse to justify that poor turnout.

I don't know what the issue is but there is clearly a big problem and it needs to be looked into.

Whaddya suggest Bob they just pretend they dont exist even tho they do, pack up & boot off right on full time….just to save you from embarrasment?

Haha …. Be interesting to know if they actually sell anything.
If they made it a joint merchandise stall with Balmain selling all the historical stuff I would go along with it.

This is priceless. We have this comment:

Name the teams that the Campbelltown and Leichhardt juniors play for in order to first play NYC and then hopefully first grade for the Wests Tigers?

Yes, we are one club, but there are two pathways to the club for juniors….
