Yeah unfortunately if its ACL then I think they have to forget about any plans of him ever being a hooker for the first grade team. Yes I know he is signed. If he does happen to make it in, great, but they just can't plan on it. They need to look for a genuine 9. Not to cover till Liddle can play, but to be the long term hooker.

@Jay disagree Simpkin would be groomed to be the man after liddle or to put pressure on his next playing contract with lids to be nursed from injury to become the main man...depth hooker is what we need, but someone decent enough to start of the year

I'm not going to hang my hat on Weidler's words .....usually they need to wait 24-48 hours for the swelling to go down before they can get an accurate scan and an X ray will show nothing unless there is a break

Well with Liddle gone for the season you would expect Reynolds to come into play now as Coach said he was close to been picked last night but wanted to keep 4 forwards on the bench to control Manly pack. Now if he is planning to use him at Hooker I would expect him to have him moved to 9 for the reserves game this week to get match fit and practice in the role.

Wests Tigers have today confirmed that Jacob Liddle will miss the remainder of the 2019 season after sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.

Scans today have confirmed the hooker will require surgery and will likely miss the start of the 2020 season as he begins his recovery process.

Liddle will begin his rehabilitation process in the coming weeks with the full support of the club’s medical staff.

That will be a Drs diagnosis ....no way in the world he will be staying perfectly still getting an MRI that last for about 25 minutes
