HOW RIGGED IS THE NRL

9 from the last 12 premierships to the NRL - not bad.

Have to give a dog the odd bone, or maybe on 3 occasions the dog was too good to be overcome.

One thing the NRL try and push is how even the comp is. If they were rigging it you wouldn’t have teams missing the finals for years in end. Everyone would get a turn every couple of years.

I really think you're confusing 'rigged' and 'uneven'
The comps been uneven for years… If you're so angry about it stop putting your own $$$ into it... Don't buy memberships, don't go o games, don't buy merch, cancel foxtel and stop punting on it

Standard response.

The irony

If you ae a team with money and the whole of QLD behind you.

Garner for us, Suli & Fainu for manly, Lewis for the dogs. None are allowed to play 1st grade until they have their contract upgraded and in the case of Fainu, the NRL telling Manly who the can select at hooker.

The Broncos can pick Kotoni Staggs from outside their top 30 despite having Pearson, Opacic, Shibasaki & Mosese Pangai from in their top 30 available.

Really,How on earth could that be legit?

The best thing you can do is to follow another sport… plenty of options available. For me, I choose to start following the NFL (not everyone’s cup of tea)... I loosely followed it from 2012-2014, and then started really getting it in 2015\. Now I absolutely love it. I still follow league, but not as closely as once upon a time.

lol Do you know how rigged a lot of supporters think the NFL is. I'm a huge supporter of the NFL and the forums have so many threads about how rigged the NFL is.

It's a phenomenon you will see across just about every sporting league; i.e. fans claiming the competition is rigged to favour a few teams… e.g.
NFL - Pats, Cowboys
NRL - Broncos, Roosters
NBA - Lebron, Warriors etc.

It's a universal reaction for fans to whinge when things don't go their way. If you truly think your beloved competition is rigged (it's not, by the way), then I suggest allocating more of your time to follow other sports.

Correct.
The NRL is just poorly run, they are totally incompetent.

Idk what’s worse, the bad officiating or the constant whining about it. If anything ever turns me away from the game, it will be the whinging.

If the whinging upsets you so much i am curious to why you would look in this thread and then bother to post in it? Seems strange to me.

The Patriots (as much as I dislike them) are regularly successful due to the fact that they are in a really weak division which means they are nearly assured of a playoff spot and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. They also have the best player in the history of the game who regularly wins games off his own mastery.
The NFL divisions are assigned purely by geography, the Pats are blessed to be bordered by underachieving cities. This could change in time.
Referees in the NFL virtually have zero influence on the outcome of games, they couldn't be accused of bias IMO.
The NRL on the other hand is butchered every single week by biased refereeing, massive bias towards certain clubs to ensure maximum exposure/revenue and unmatched incompetency by its administration. It has a huge stink around it on many levels.

I post on Cammy threads because I hate the bloke. I don't go into those threads and state "all this talk about Smith is turning me away from the game".
Not sure why someone would purposely open threads just to post "this topic turns me away from the game". I cant understand that logic.

He was drafted in the 6th round, that's how rigged the NFL is, they turned a 6th round pick into a hall of famer just so the Patriots could have a dynasty.

In all serious though anyone who believes that any major sporting competition is rigged is not thinking straight.

The NRL may not be "rigged" as in the result of a game is pre-determined but games/results are without question manipulated by referees to get a desired outcome. That is not far off being genuinely rigged IMO.
There are just too many horrendous stuff-ups every single week for it simply to be written off as incompetence or honest mistakes.
You could easily write a 10 000 word essay on examples of bias, favouritism etc in just the last 10 years of the NRL alone.
You only have to look at how many "fairytales" have occurred within the NRL comp over the last 10 years or so. If it is all just coincidence it would be astonishing to say the least.

Ok now in just one of those years now show me the Patriots getting every MNF game like the Brisbane Broncos get Friday nights in our comp for YHE LAST 20 years.P.S You wont and therein lies the difference. We have two states(3 Vics)playing league and half the games administrators are from north of the border where it is Broncos first daylight second for boardroom power. To use an NFL COMPARISON it is like saying the eastern states make up 31 teams while the whole western half of the USA is New England.
