The bad news for Panthers fans is that centre Jamal Idris is on the move.

Idris is under contract for next season but has asked for a release to take up an offer from one of three rival clubs.

been linked to us for a long time . would look good standing next to moses in defence and smashing anyone who came that way . has played origin & for australia and at 25 still has good years ahead of him .

Warriors coach Andrew McFadden made a change to his bench ahead of the game, dropping the out of favour Konrad Hurrell and recalling **Sione Lousi, who the club are looking to offload ahead of next season.**

Another who is only 25 '& could be a good pickup

If Idris is getting snapped up as a centre well open the floodgates

This bloke belongs in the forwards and we don't need him as a forward

Jamal has potential however he has faded away in recent times
He can perform way better than Tony Williams and IMO they are very similar the way they started and bulked into Hulks

Maybe Idris just needs a sea change to bring his best back

How many sea changes can you have?

In hind-side i was referring to a kick up the back side CQ
He played SOO, was in demand and i dont think his feet have come back to earth

When his contract expires he would be lucky if he gets a look at if he doesnt lift his game

Idris is a very risky signing. Can't see out a contract at 3 clubs, constantly overweight, depression issues and now coming off a knee reconstruction. 4 strikes.

a good challenge for JT if he decided to sign him. for once i'd like us to be a club where good players go to get a 'fresh start'. we struck gold with naiqama and hope we can with idris too. penriff would be paying part of his contract wouldnt they?

Idris is the last player we need, we want players who are winners, players who come from a winning culture/environment,players who will do anything to get themselves fit for the next game and players who are as tuff as rusty nails. I just do not see Idris as this sort of player and it has to be remembered both the titians and the Pennys have shown him the door

Idris has some pretty big issues away from football. Definitely wouldn't want him at our club it we are trying to establish a new culture.
