If Madge fails to turn the WT into a successful team, and by this I mean semi finals footy in 2021 and beyond if he stays...**I see the club throwing in the towel....**
I honestly wish they would right now, there’s gotta be more to life than following a bunch of perennial losers year after year after year - it does nothing for my mental health.
This year I was very hesitant about becoming a member of the club, as I have been for the past 13 years. But they made what I thought was a couple of good signings so I decided to stay on as a member......but honestly this mob are just awful, nothing seems to change does it !
Apparently we have a good coach and a lot of the players are good quality, but this just doesn't convert to wins, we seem to have too many ups and downs, most inconsistent no heart., and no pride it seems- and yes as ardent followers of this club, I believe it can have some effect on our mental health:-1: ( and the coaches too I'm thinking )
I wouldn't be surprised if Madge throws in the towel, most of the time after these losses he looks as if he's be crying, as most of us are almost doing as well......just not good enough.
To me this loss puts and end to our season:disappointed_relieved:
Jeez, you give up easy.
Maybe you need some resilience that you think the team needs.
Madge will be giving them crying at the next session - they'll probably
wish they hadn't been born.
Give up easily..........I reckon a lot of the hard core members/fans gave up years ago, they probably didn't give the club 13 years of hoping that we would at least get to finals (which we did once since 2005).
I think I have more reilience than the team that's for sure.
Russell are you happy with how we are performing ?:astonished:
Firstly I am glad you have more resilience than the team.
If you look at what has transpired over the last 8-9 years I think we
are probably lucky to be in the position we are in. i.e. After the
earlier board screwed up, after previous coaches have screwed up
"Big Time," after having that "Rat" from the Pamfers play absolute
havoc with our salary cap and leave, with us holding the bag. We
are still paying for that and again next year.
On the positive side we have a good coach and staff, good
management, future COE not far away, the signing of what looks to
be some very talented youngsters, the possibility of signing a
couple of more players to fill the limited spots we have left.
It will take a few years for the young blokes to reach what you
could call an acceptable level - they will be in/out until they learn
enough to be consistently good, some will fall by the wayside,
hopefully not too many.
It will take time but with all that has been happening to us I could
say I am happy with the team - not with the odd performance and
not with the odd performance with a few individual players, Mbye
and Jennings come to mind. I, like yourself and everyone else
would like to have a stable team of very good players being
consistent and winning most games, playing finals and winning
a few of those as well.
As we know, no one wants to accept and have the patience to wait
for this to happen - if you want to support the Tigers it is a
prerequisite - for me it has been a long haul since attending my
first game in 1950 at Leichhardt - more downs than ups but for
God's sake "it is the Tigers" I can forgive them anything.
However, time is running out for me but not for a lot of the other
die hard Tiger fans. I would rather support a struggling Tiger team
than any other club in the NRL - "Go, you Mighty Tigers."
