Details regarding Irvine's banning will not be discussed on this forum - ever.

As for inside info, well hang tight for a bit folks. I have had some correspondence with Grant Mayer of late, as well as a very informative face to face meeting and there may be a Q&A open to forum members prior to season kickoff. This is something I plan to work on over the next week so stay tuned for further details.

Seriously??

Is this an honest and open forum. ?

Someone start a new one where we can say what we want then.

This forum has rules, and with that comes a set of standards. If you don't like it, then find another forum - one has already been suggested. We are here to cater for people who want to discuss things like rational adults, we will never allow this forum to become a mud slinging pit where people are allowed to throw insults at one another.

If you want to start a new forum, good luck to you.

Its a pity the forum ban doesnt extend to those who label our players / officials as "germs".

People are allowed to have their opinions. Has it occurred to you that perhaps Irvine wasn't banned for being an arrogant spanner? If that were the reason he'd have been banned months ago.

Wesley Lolo is the Dragon, doing well according to people who went open training.

Apparently Mcdonnell (second bloke on trial) is sloppy under the high ball and not good, think he will get a second tier along with Wesley.

All should be fit for round one, Teddy and Nofa hoping to be fit for round 1, Teddy most likely will be but Nofa not so much.

Thanks milky, u were the only one to stick to the topic, the rest just turned it into something else, no wonder we dont get any info.

I'm not sticking up for Irvine. I don't know him and have no interest in why he was banned. My point is the moderator doesn't set a very high standard by labelling certain players / officials as germs.

I've heard many say worse, wishing injury and/or death on players.

Calling a player or official a germ is tame compared to some of the crap that has been said on here.

I'm not aware of any moderator wishing injury / death to any of our players in the 15 years I've been on the forum. The point I'm trying to make is moderators should be above all that rubbish.

And the post you are referring to has since been deleted Knuckles. Carry on.

Can't see any posts from Happy CB. People saying he ''went to the ground'' gives some idea what happened to him, but i'm probably way way off.

Someone on here called Chris Lawrence an oxygen theif after the first 9s game…. disgusting thing to say about anyone tbh

That term is used every second week. That's one of the nicer things i've heard said about Lawrence, crazy as that is.

I wish we got the mail beforehand when Heighno got MOTM that day….a few did, massive odds and a big plunge,

How no one at 9 got fired over that is beyond me…..

I think about everyone knows exactly who was involved, and how they benefited yet nothing was done.

I miss smoking gun….

Didn't he imply he was Steve Georgalis?

Whoever he was he didn't tell us much at all. I think he missed the mark more than he got it. I assumed he was some journo who tried to get in close with the club and they fed him a bit of BS occasionally to keep him happy and get rid of him.

So "INFO WE ALL NEED TO HAVE" .. I have one to ask, I read today that John Sutton (30 yrs young) is on the outer at the Burrow, they dropped him as captain for this season, left him out of the Nines squad, and then was questioned today about a possible link to the Tigers, to which he denied .. of course :exclamation: :exclamation:

So my question is, you as coach of the mighty WestsTigers, would you take him in ..  Yes or No and why .. :sign:

Anyone who can hold their own in first grade is theoretically worth having, provided they don't come with a history of disciplinary problems or other baggage. It just comes down to price.

If Sutton could be had cheap, especially with the Bunnies picking up part of the tab, I'd jump on it. He plays several positions where the Tigers have a worrying lack of depth. There is a risk with Sutton might become our next Braith Anasta, past it as a half and not hard enough to be a back rower. I think that risk would be worth taking _at the right price_. If the Tigers signed Sutton as a marquee player and started touting him as the answer to our back row problems, I'd be very concerned.
