I just think its not fair that 2 of the 3 members are ex souths.

Yeah Dermo you are comparing apples to tractor engines there….they arent in the same postcode. One involves a coward king hitting an unsuspecting man during a Kings Cross rampage to a footballer pulling off a careless yet brave RUGBY LEAGUE collision.

The best collisions in recent times involved Harragon/Carroll and Dwyer/Hargraves. Utilising the criteria presented by many on here, both of those defenders should have been rubbed out for months. Instead they are lauded as 2 of the best hits in decades.

It is a tough game played by tough men. Sometimes you have a bad day and get your arse knocked out. It happens. These guys are prepared to do this for a living and as long as the actions are not intentionally illegal to the games rules, I for one am happy with it.

If he gets suspended the game is for pu$$ies, Rugby was supposed to be a dangerous game and it has turned into an idiots game firstly the referees are simply out of their mind making shocking calls but the main thing is the suspensions, bloody hell you get suspended just holding a leg for too long, NRL board has to do somthing sooner than later.

Aren't in the same postcode?? I would be more inclined to believe there is more force behind a Greg Inglis shoulder charge than a punch from some 18 year old kid, you can be as tough as you want but players are getting bigger and stronger and sooner or later someone is going to end up with alot more than just getting knocked out. Go and talk to any doctor and they will tell you the same thing

4 or 5 inches lower, great hit but as it is it was careless/reckless what ever they call it 1 maybe 2 weeks.The head has to be protected, accidents happen and nothing can change that but that was avoidable.

Completely different.

That kid is dead from the impact of his head hitting the concrete. Same as David Hooks.

Its not comparable to Inglis v Young.

How do you feel about Dwyers hit on JWH?

they were different hits… jwh fell into the tackle at the last moment... young had a player already wrapped around him and inglis came in over the top, young was not falling at all.

if dwyer had hit JWH clean in the head he would not have gotten back up... it was a great rugby league hit that MAY be considered as 'gone wrong', but only as a result of JWH falling.. dwyer did nothing wrong (similar to kasiano last week)... which is why he didnt come under scrutiny for it...

pretty clear cut imo..

Why is it worse?

It is alot worse IMO - Young was neither falling in the tackle or stepping in any direction, **Inglis had plenty of time to line him up legitimately.** He also launched off the ground, if Young is such a "shortarse" as you say then there is no need to jump at all into him.

Inglis is a coward- he was nowhere to be seen running the ball up in the Rabbitoh's next set after the incident, frightened of retaliation. (Maybe if he was running at women instead he may have had a crack- he is after all fond of beating up sheila's).

If the judiciary are fair dinkum then he should be sitting out the next 4 weeks at least

The reason he rushed Young, tried to shorten the distance and TIME between himself and Young, was to prevent the offload, which was what was clearly on Youngs mind (him looking around for support)

You rush up when you see the attacking player look for a support to take time away and to throw out his perception about how far away you actually are and possibly force a bad pass or bad read by the attacker

The counter for it is to throw a big step and the fullback will struggle with the change of angle at full speed

dwyers initial contact wasnt with the head, it was body and slipped up (because jwh fell).

inglis hit young on initital contac across the face…

its clear cut...

dwyers was a good hit, i understand it contradicts what i said above, but what i meant to say is that good hits dont make initial contact with the head.

so again, its clear as day imo.
