Two bit used car salesman. He'll make a good pollie.

Who …Adrian ?

No, that scruffy looking nerf herder acting as our CEO.

After listening to the podcast , it’s clear Justin is out of his depth .

It was clear when he stuffed our salary cap.

Had a listen. The more the blowtorch is applied to Pascoe the better.

Still amazed he wasn’t fired when he was suspended over the Farah fiasco.

I had a listen as well, interesting, sad and not surprising to hear those types of stories. He’s right about there being a lack of a killer instinct, how others can’t see it is beyond me.

Mate….you can’t win on the field when the main office is a basket case….been that way for years.

Not a matter of bad people running the show, just not people who are great in the football industry.

It is a highly competitive industry and to succeed you need proven winners calling the shots and making the big calls..at present that is not happening.

I listened to it. The sad thing is it wasn’t surprising. I certainly don’t have the business experience or clout that Adrian has but I felt like that was a yarn between my mate and I that we have had over and over in the past.
The only difference was we haven’t actually known any of the past events to be true but after listening ok. Confirmed.

As Adrian said, all good people, nice people but lacking the killer instinct. I’m concerned that too much of the operational necessities will be lumped up on Sheens. Although I’m not sure that the CEO of the other football clubs are or aren’t as involved in the football operations.

It was mentioned that Phil Gould would of been perfect for that role. People say well Sheens, his a great coach, a wise tactical mind, very skilled in player development and roster identification, recruitment and retention..

But
What skill and experience does he have in football operations on a business level?

My same knock is that of Hartigan, Egan before (club coaches being transited to club manager roles)

Do we need a CEO of football?

Is Dave Donahy (recently appointed at Brisbane) any more understanding of ‘football operations’ than Pascoe?

I’d be curious who are the club CEOs and what is their experience in football operations?

I've always said we seem to treat the footy as secondary.... CEOs blabbing on about the value of the jerseys, signage merchandise yawn zzzzz😴😴😴

We sell more hats than the Storm but.

As much as I agree with the criticisms as a whole - this guy came across as very naive to the operations of a NRL club. Also very naive to NRL Salary cap rules

Greenberg (who I also didn’t like) said WT are always trying to please everyone. League at any level is not a place where playing nice gets you anywhere, on or off the field.

WT poodles of the nrl. Need to start kicking, biting back instead of rolling over for a belly rub.

Sure take our best players but we want a good player in return, oh ok, sorry I know that was a bit rude, a bad player, no, ok, sling us fifty bucks, please.

It's sad when we haven't had the balls to standup for ourselves for so long. Just get bullied by other clubs off the park, and then that translates to on field results too. Too weak, spineless.

Pascoe might be good with the sponsorship, membership side of things, but once it comes to player agents, other ceos etc he's just a naive dude. Nice guys finish last. We have to demand what we want, be aggressive , smart and ruthless.

How do we replace Justin with Adrian?

You’re kidding.
All I heard on there …. Justin is a really nice bloke …. But.
Yea things could be done so much better.
Ugh! Crap from a big noting property developer.

Yeah I thought that myself.... Maybe not naive but very loose....
I.guess it is.because he's giving an opinion... Not a maths lesson

As someone else said this isn't surprising... Maybe it's all our
fears being realised

Don't worry ...Grant Meyer told another club official " he couldn't see all the fuss around James Tedesco " and then that club official told James Tedesco about what was said by Mayer ......

Justin's lack of paranoia and negotiation skills concern me...

I like how Gould is commending the appointment of Sheens and how good he is at identifying junior pathways. In the meantime Gould is looking to enter the Campbelltown area for the Bulldogs growth area, and also poaching out Flegg players, smart operator, not like our mob.

I reckon we have been a little more ruthless with our negotiations recently which leads to the media giving us a harder time than usual (because the agents aren’t getting what they want). Which also leads to us missing out on players.
