Oh my lord. I just listened to this podcast and the only thing that comes to mind is what a complete wannabe flog.

If that's your take then you must love losing. Do you dream of failure? If you can't see what's plainly obvious to most then so be it.

Why cant both things be true?

Singing from the same hymn sheet much?

IF something walks like a duck....

I don’t really get why people want to attack the messenger. Who knows how close he is to the club, it doesn’t seem like he has much to do with it these days. Also I don’t think he had much “new” information. Rather he just voiced a lot of things that resonates with what seems to be wrong with the club (we all watched a tattooed Pascoe dismiss fans who complain about the flags being wrong, water off a ducks back etc). He has no great insight apart from the insight that the vast majority of people on here probably share:
1) Lee is an embarrassment at Chair
2) Pascoe doesn’t know about footy and oversaw some woeful decisions as CEO that set the club back at least 5 years
3) Madge doesn’t look like he’s going to be a success with us/is the right fit for where we are as a club.

He’s just a bloke on a podcast, I don’t think of him as being good or bad. He’s got a right to an opinion as do we all and if you don’t like it don’t listen

I don’t get all the hate for the guy. All he did was tell us of his dealings with the club and put some light on what we all probably knew, that the club was lagging behind the competition in the management department. I don’t think he was big noteing himself.

To see that this guy drew an analogy that prisoners were unimportant in reviewing prison performance lost me completely, so cannot comment further.

4 downvotes because you didnt like the podcast. The level of defence for this bloke is incredible.

Confirmation bias is a powerful drug.

Well the only thing clear to me is that we have now heard Trippa's side to the story!
No idea what the relationship is like between him and CEO etc, but imagine it will be compromised now... doesn't matter how much sugar you put on it, he certainly stuck the knife in and it's going to hurt.

and who is Trippa to the WT and why should we care about his story? Is he a sponsor? An agent? Player?

Yep. I had a listen to it yesterday. The biggest thing that struck me was the gap we have around attracting players. He could easily provide a selling point for a potential recruit to head to other clubs (eg Manly, Cronulla or Bondi to be near the beach, Panthers because of the pride in the community, Bulldogs a traditional powerhouse) but struggled to think of what our unique selling point was.

Our unique selling point to attract players would be having September off each year on full pay.

 should have told matterson earlier , didn’t he have a sook as didn’t want to train during finals

Didn't even turn up for drinks with the boys, but at least he sent a cardboard cut out which no doubt was better company anyway.

Yeah bang on. They need to start presenting the contracts in $ per game rather than a yearly contract value. We’d be one of the best weekly earns in the NRL

Should really take on the Brydens policy of no win no fee.

Might create a bit of incentive to actually have a go.

Are there, oh well. I did see one early on, but hey, whatever. If a downvote does it for some and gets that clique off, let them play and enjoy their life's little personal comforts.

I think everyone is taking this a little too seriously, there is people arguing about who knew about our clubs issues first hahaha...

The guy is just voicing an opinion (which we all collectively agree with) and shared some stories about the type of conversations he had with our management. No different to one of us venting on this very forum about our own experiences. I personally found it interesting to hear some of the excuses internally the club had around the big 4 drama.

You don’t have to agree with him, he’s not our next CEO so everyone needs to chill out :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

Enlighten me. What exactly is my bias that is being confirmed?

You seem to be a very fast learner establishing everyones biases in the lat two hours?

please explain to me how confirmation bias applies to me.

I was reading this thread and was puzzled as to why adults would be sulking over one man’s views on a podcast.
It quickly became apparent that his detractors were all saying EXACTLY the same thing. Same phrasing, same tired insult.
It doesn’t take much to work out who is who on here.

His detractors were all saying the *same thing?* Could it be that they are his detractors because they all dont like an aspect of the bloke, and maybe its the same aspect that they dont like????

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and sounds like a duck,,,,,chances are it is a duck and other people can see its a duck.

I listened to the podcast and think he is sounds like a big noting blow hard. Talks up how successful he is and then acts incredibly unprofessionally by blowing WT dirty laundry that was carried out privately. Totally unprofessional and the club has done the right thing having nothing to do with the bloke. I bet he doesnt discuss Lottie Vidor on public podcasts.

WT have just finished another poor failure of a season and are undertaking a review, considering sacking the coach, discussion about Luke Brooks, discussions about signings etc.......but THIS is the thread that made you join. Yeah righto. You are either an alt or a friend of old mate.

Think was a potential sponsor but got turned off with management since Tedesco, Woods Moses gate.
