Is Poor Officiating Going To End Up In Court

Peter V and the power brokers of The NRL only care about one thing and that is what they can squeeze out of the broadcast rights. What happens in the day to day running of the game and the game itself they could not give a dam. In fact Peter V will probably be giving Klein a bonus because he has created a truck load of publicity and both good and bad publicity is great for the rating.

They are a terrible organisation
I doubt Peter V will have to give Klein a bonus as most people believe he has already got it.

The NRL were always going to back the bunker with this one because there was no doubt that it took victory from one team and handed to another. If they admit error then it leaves their referees open to accountabilty and accusations that they don't want to have to defend. The only way to shut it down is back them and hope the hysteria wears off quickly.

The only serious action they can take imo is suspending the wooden spoon market. This game actually impacts that quite a bit.
And also to mention , apart from Penrith, who would have backed NQ CS & BB to finish in the top 4 at the begining of the year, if it where to stay that way. There are all different markets being influenced. Make top 4 , make top 8 , miss the 8 , most losses ,winning regions , to make GF and even down to who will win the churchhill medal. And the old favourite , first coach to be sacked ( some agencies , please don’t ask who)

Todays news, tomorrow’s fish and chips wrapping. That’s how the NRL view this stuff. The show goes on and outside the Tigers fans everyone will forget and move on. This is how such a poorly run organisation runs, they rely on a day or two for the dust to settle and than blindly proceed to the next disaster .

Maybe time for the invisible man ..Abbo the CEO to actually do something

Graham Annesley, the failed referee, politician, ceo, referee's boss and human will apply some mental gymnastics to defend this debacle. Meanwhile, the rules will be changed to prevent teams from using the stoppage before the full-time whistle to challenge a non-decision lest an important team like Souths is ever impacted.

Lucky Andrew Abdo isn't still back in South Africa and heading up a sporting organization as incompetent as the NRL because there is every chance that he and some of his incompetent underlings would get necklaced.

Fortunately for him we live in a much more civilized society.

Chad Townsend and Kyle Feldt in particular, need to be cited for bringing the game into disrepute.

It would be hard to believe that the length and placement of the kick off was ever designed for the Cowboys to regain the ball and put the Cowboys in a position where it was possible to score a try, but rather a ploy to milk a penalty from an escort within goal kicking range which was so obvious to everyone apart from the incompetent bunker.

It is fairly obvious, to me at least, that the events that took place from the kick off were part of a premeditated plan to milk a penalty that everyone including commentators, members of the media and the vast majority of NRL fans all agree should not have been allowed to happen.

Us against them.

We need to bring this mentality to our game , moving forward.

We're not friends with anyone, any more.
Siege mentality.
Demp I totally agree, I am loud and use to go off at games, I never got personal with the crowd just the ref and all the bad calls or misses, this grips me too. I was always ready to punch on anywhere, especially at shark park, but only to idiots that got personal.
like yesterday and the bunker guy , thats personal for me.

Before anyone on here wants to get personal , read the stats
97 win 88 losses 46 handshakes

I think that's a bit far fetched.... It's a good plan if you know how the ref and bunker will rule...
Why aren't teams doing this at every kick off?

Not far fetched at all when you've got nothing to lose and got one final play to pull something off and a 2 point penalty kick at goal will do the trick.

The game result is not on the line at every kick off, but in this particular case it was one last desperate bid at milking a penalty which inexplicably was awarded.
