Guess we will have to do a Tutty and force the contract issue and stand our ground ,unless we get extremely high compensation which we agree to . I think we have seriously watered down contracts by bending over for players who want to change their minds if they sign and then think immediately they can get more $$$$$ and threaten to tank or use the mental health issue as an excuse. Leasing players to other clubs midseason certainly hasn't strengthened contract values. Whole issue must come to a head soon
Even Paul Crawley said the club must stand it's ground and force him, Kent was obviously against it

If he wants out to go home to NZ I can cop that a little better then staying at Parra. Still disappointing, but more understandable. Not sure Warriors have anyone we could use. Harris is the wrong side of 30, Fonda Blake would be awesome but is on massive overs, Murchie and Curran have a go, I like their effort a lot, but both defensively make errors.
If he was that keen to go to NZ, why sign a 3yr deal with another Sydney Club.

Any contract nullification has to be mutual. With IP feeling like he can "make a decision" seems like his agent needs to help him understand contract law.

Lee's comment was smart. When he comes, you want him to be happy. No need to play hardball till there is a final line in the sand. But he certainly alluded to it.

Yes and no.

IP could easily hose all this down by doing what Api did - coming out and committing to honouring his contract. They asked Api all the same questions but that story evaporated because Api was smart enough to hose it down.

Whether by inability to manage the media, instructions from his manager or a genuine desire to remain at Parramatta, IP has fuelled the fire several times by failing to be definitive when talking about his new deal.

Even if he said "committed to Tigers but until the pre-season I am 100% committed to Eels and don't want to talk about anything else".

Then, on top of this, the media nonsense drags on.
He said he's looking forward to working with Sheens, Benji.

Seriously Papal'i will do what he wants. He has seen how our front office caves even when we are in the right. He aint coming here ,& frankly why would any one when the front office doesnt have the courage to support the players ?
